So you might be thinking "Didn't five exclamation marks just release this a few weeks ago?" and "This guy's tryna scam me download the same thing twice to make pennies on adfly!" you would be half correct. Upon revamping the Banjo-Kazooie I found a useful tool that I've somehow missed for a year plus so I can edit individual tracks in a DAW similar to how the newest Sonic Advance/Battle remaster (Thread 212364) was done though not nearly as intensive. No longer did I need to rely on the USFs since I could reassemble the tracks myself without the issue of clipping & oversampling entire tracks which has its drawbacks of noise being far more audible. Unfortunately the process isnt perfect, I have to re-pitch each instrument sample at least for the Rare games. I may also do this with the Banjo games though I'm not looking forward to the tedious assembling process of either those games.

This new version is vastly improved with the following:
+Changed many track titles including the mistitled jingles/reorganized tracks
+Intrusive ambience/sound effects has been removed from some tracks (not including Barrel Courses)
+Extra songs containing & removing ambience and sound effects
+Tracks should be more consistent in volume
+Lowered loud tracks volumes to prevent clipping
-Modulation on organ instruments are not accurate
-Removed DK64 OST's bonus tracks

A sample comparing my old 2017 rip and the new remaster:
DKCR Comparison.mp3 (https://app.box.com/s/iv5szvbw7sndj7p1idctkxngge1mbzj8)

Report to me in this thread if any instruments/drums cut out in any tracks or any other significant errors there may be.

Enjoy!

I would honestly love to see the Banjo games done like this, but if you don't like the tedious editing and stuff, you don't have to. Love your work, though.

What I'm saying is that you used the wrong track names. The ones I listed are the correct ones based on the soundtrack listing that was temporarily on Grant Kirkhope's official Bandcamp.

Are you aware that the soundtrack you are talking about is a USF Rip () (same with the "Banjo-Kazooie Everything and the Kitchen Sink") containing many of the same track titles made up by the people who ripped the music and not from Grant himself? Or if your talking about his re-release of the US soundtrack which are just 18 tracks, which he renames some tracks. Also there are different official soundtracks with different track titles for. One (http://vgmdb.net/album/1507) that refers to Jungle Japes music as "Jungle Madness". Another (http://vgmdb.net/album/1509) calls it "Jungle Melody". The US official soundtrack (http://vgmdb.net/album/2941) refers as "Jungle Japes", etc. Which is part of the reason why I gave myself free reign to make up the titles and borrow some from some official sources. I should have just said "changed track titles because why not?" if this is gonna be that big of a deal.

And it's the official US one/the reprint that have the correct names. That being said, many of your track names are from the PAL CD with the bonus tracks that you removed.

And had "Donkey Kong 64 Everything and the Kitchen Sink" come out, there would be some slight variation with track names along with fan names altogether. Point is I prefer titles I have now and if I want to change them then I will.

Um... I really hate to ask this... but... do you still have the Un-Remastered versions? You know... the actual GameRip?

(Oh man. I hope I'm not going to get chewed out by anyone)

Um... I'm just asking because I was going to replace some of the ones I downloaded from SlippyToad with the ones you had that didn't have the ambience. But some of the music pitches and the quality was a little different, so I didn't feel like I could do it... Sorry to be a bother...

Non Ambience is going to have to be a custom job, like it is in the rip. You're best course of action is to replace your SlippyToad tracks, because his rip is slightly off pitch.

Does anyone have the link to the un-remastered, USF-origin version of this rip (Original post here just in case, DL link replaced with a link to this thread (Thread 213838))? I'm game for the improved quality (sample rate-wise), but the altered reverb, instrument volume and panning placement are getting to me (Jungle Japes and Angry Aztec are good examples). Related, are the original Nexus 2017 links for the Banjo-Kazooie and -Tooie rips still around, since this happened to those as well?

Situation, for crafty clickers, white-hat hackers and somewhat-shifty source-code seekers: I upgraded from the original 2017 Nexus BK and BT rips, and the DK64 rip linked above without hearing the comparison tracks. Hearing the audio alterations mentioned above, I stopped listening to them, wanting to hear them just as they were from the game (barring the improved sample rate), as I deleted the originals beforehand. The revamped audio is a good experiment and in good spirit, but for audio purists like me it feels, for lack of a better word choice, artificial and jarring (barring a few good tracks, like the completed Hideout Helm). Also speaking of, since I can't fit this anywhere else, does anyone know how the amazing resampling is done in Nexus' rips, so I can do it myself to unreleased USF rips?

I think it's best to just give up on that. I tried asking them about it before and I got no response. I think it's just best to think that if you didn't get to download the original version before the remastered version, then there's nothing you can do.

I have the MP3 version, but it's not FLAC.

Can you post a link to it anyhow? As it's 320kbps, it's not that big of a loss.

I know this is an old thread, but I want to point out a couple of mistakes.
Track 2-31 Frantic Factory - R&D doesn't seem to fade out,
And track 6-06 Fungi Forest - Night (w/o Ambience) has a deafening thunder sound at about 42 seconds in.

Also, I would like to suggest making separate versions of some songs without ambience, such as tracks 1-29, 2-29 and 2-31.
Thanks in advance, if you get around to it!

I know this album is most likely not getting updated anymore, but just in case it will be I would like to ask if it's possible to include a version of "2-02 The Sands of Mystery (Angry Aztec)" with the ambience intact (it just doesn't sound complete without the desert wind in my opinion) and a version of "1-02 Da Banana Bunch" without the added reverb (I don't mind it on the instrumentation but it makes the vocals sound really off IMHO).

That in addition to mariofan12ify's suggestions (6-06 almost made me crap my pants lol) would totally make my day!

Either way, thank you very much for all your hard work. I love this game's soundtrack and I'm glad it finally got the high-quality treatment it deserves.
