Like "The World Is Not Enough" I'm sure many around here have had the 320 version of this for a few years now. I gotta wonder if this has just been repackaged as "lossless".

Definite thanks for the share, Hunter! Been a while since i've seen/heard Goldeneye... I remember thinking how much better it could've been had David Arnold or John Barry had done it... worth a listen again, Id say...

Comparing this to the KFG set, the frequencies on this set are higher, so I think it is.

You have to compare cues that aren't on the retail album.

I did such a thing with the most obvious cue: the John Altman one. The frequencies on that track were higher than the 320 mp3 we have. I would que up Spek, but I'm out of the house.

Tank drive?

No space. Which doesn't seem right as it looks more like shock.
But shock is... : shock :

I don't have the retail album on me or the previous release handy to do any comparisons.

That's EXACTLY what I meant. It so was fun that I can't even think properly right now. I can see Orion's belt from here!

This is NOT a proper promo, it has the same tracks that have been posted for years.

Notice how it has no real major expanded cues, just a few seconds here and there as well as all the album cues made into separate ones as they would have been recorded and the tank drive is just the re-recording done for "bond back in action 2".

Still missing small bits but mainly:

The complete dam jump and bond entering the facility
The helicopter scene ('I'm a little tied up")
Tank Chase - proper John Altman recording
Bond enters St Petersburg
Final Fight/Bond jumps onto the helicopter

Don't expect me to be knowledgeable of Bond Music. I simply post it because it might interest people. Every scores have it's missing pieces, so of course this will be missing stuff. I was especially weary of this set, since there wasn't much added. It's just another version at this point.

I'm sorry, but aren't these "Expanded Promos" just re-postings of the Expanded & Remastered Editions put together by KaFaraqGatri on this very site, with new covers?

Those expanded editions are new (he's revising all the old ones he did and is starting from scratch. Also, they're in the order as heard on the film and the intent of the composer and in the case of "Die Another Day" and "Tomorrow Never Dies", they're 100% the complete score) and the new one he did for "GoldenEye" actually has the film version of the tank drive scene and not the Nic Raine re-recording from the "Bond Back In Action 2" CD, as heard here on this promo (which was the catalyst of the first version of the expanded scores he did, though he did used the first part of the Nic Raine recording, prior to using the John Altman score, in which was played when the tank breaks the wall). The only piece of music that's missing and it's not available anywhere else is the explosion of the Tiger helicopter.

What I meant was that these are his OLD ones -- the version of TWINE and the version of GOLDENEYE that I got from KFG back in the day are identical to the ones now being posted by HunterTech.

1). These "promos" we're found on a website that had legit stuff posted on it (HP4 Sessions for one), so I assumed that these were legit well. However, same website has posted a lot of fan made stuff as well, so I was a bit skeptical. Analyzing the files put me at ease.

2). This (http://www.worthpoint.com/worthopedia/james-bond-goldeneye-expanded-score-110958069) existed at some point. Though it's possible it was a fanmade set, I wouldn't go past me if this was something that cooked up for promotional purposes.

3). I was never aware that KaFaraqGatri had older Bond threads before the current definitive one. I saw someone in a Licence To Kill expanded say that it was a repost of KFG's work, but that wasn't on my mind when I posted these.

4). None of the files are converted. What you see here is exactly what I got. Doesn't help it's legitimately lossless as well.
