Having been randomly dropped pages in the original 192k post (Thread 118335), it was only up for a limited time before the links died. Now, after having asked several users for the original files through PM, JHFan (http://forums.ffshrine.org/member.php?u=271489) was kind enough to share them. With his blessing, I decided to finally give it it's proper thread. Now I've become aware there was a request thread (Thread 200405) that gave some people the files through PM, but I decided it's fairer to have it out in the open.

If there's any feedback you would like to give, it's very appreciated. Also, if there's any custom artwork, that would be great as well.

Thank you very much for this. One of my favorite scores of his, I was very thankful he was hired for the film, and the fact that it leaked about a week after the film was released, which is almost unheard of.

Nah, I don't think so.

He and Stone have talent - and chemistry Maguire and Dunst wish they had - but the way Sony was handling the franchise, there's no way even he could make the films worth watching.

I agree. Sony meddled way too much in the production of both films, editing the movies after Marc Webb delivered his edit. Sony never understood what makes Spider-Man work as a character by downplaying his genius and relying on the chemistry between Stone and Garfield to wallpaper over the major cracks in the films' scripts.

Sony isn't alone in this lack of understanding. Fox botched the Fantastic Four reboot. But as least Fox got a clue after the critical failures of Wolverine & Last Stand to bring Singer and Vaughn onboard.

And while Marvel hasn't been perfect in its execution of its character, Marvel has succeeded far more than it's failed.

They should have ditched Singer and brought back Vaughn only.
First Class - directed by Vaughn: largely praised by critics and strong BO intake
Days of Future Past - directed by Singer, written by Vaughn: largely praised by critics and very strong BO intake
Apocalypse - directed by Singer: 'meh' from critics, grossed an okay amount in the end but consistently went below expectations

Singer can't do anything with the X-Men. Vaughn made the franchise pretty interesting for a film or two, but that spark is gone now - probably forever.

X-Men and, even more so X2: Bryan Singer (and David Hayter). No Vaughn there. And those two were great. X2 still stands tall as one of the best X-Men films out there.
P.S.: trivia tidbit: Yes, it's THAT David Hayter. Someone who does the voice of Solid Snake AND writes excellent screenplays = boss.

X2 was the exception (yeah, it was pretty good).
The first X-Men sucks.

You know who else wrote First Class? Bryan Singer. You can point to other people, but he's still there.
I'd say both Vaughn and Singer had equal contribution to DOFP.
Apocalypse is a much better movie than people think. It's really just fatigue that gave it weaker reviews.
And as stated, there's X1 and X2. You're really have a bias against Singer.
Be happy they might get another director for the next film.

Yeah, I do. Because while he and Fox have been diddling around with the X-Men for 16 years and have nothing to show for it, Marvel has created a revolutionary cinematic universe in half that time. It's ridiculous.

Marvel

Disney. :smrt:

All those years re-releasing their cartoons on limited edition VHS and calling them "vault" collections only to have every one of them on bluray has made them the commercial conglomerates they are today.
It doesn't take much to copy/paste the Disney formula over every movie.

It's too bad things didn't work out with Edward Norton. He had the most compelling story.
It wasn't all cat and mouse with the same team.
The only remotely interesting thing for Hulk in AoU is the classical music.

With the way things are going for Marvel, I think it's safe to drop Phase 1 & 2 entirely and live with Phase 3 on their own.

This version should be the original leaked files, as they're from the exact same source as the original 192k leaks. Un-mastered with silences and all that jazz.

If you want listener friendly edits, I recommend (http://forums.ffshrine.org/showthread.php?t=171369&highlight=) these (http://forums.ffshrine.org/showthread.php?t=182286&highlight=).
