Planning on buying the Halo 5 ost in digital flac from 7digital tomorrow if you want to add it to the collection.

Also a 24-bit version of Halo 4 Soundtrack Vol.1 is on Qobuz but it won't let me buy it directly because I'm in the US. Halo 2 Anniversary is also there, but again I'm in the US.

I can however purchase the 16-bit version from 7digital but I mean... 24-BiTS!!!

I sincerely hope you didn't go through the kind trouble of purchasing them just to contribute these here. I already have those covered in the CD Lossless collection (This is a "companion" topic to it dedicated to the digital-only).

As for the 24bit releases of Halo 4's music (You mentioned Halo 2 Anniversary, but there's no 24bit digital release I know of), I did acquire the Volume 1 & 2 releases in 24bit Hi-Res, but never got around to them (ReclaimedHalo kindly still has a FLAC link for Halo 4 Volume 2), but my recent MediaFire storage changes won't make it an issue once my internet stabilises again (It's been uncharacteristically slowed down periodically for no reason(s) I've yet determined, but I suspect this is my end).

And on the potential bright side, I did randomly catch word that Qobuz is planning to expand it's regional availability overseas to the United States in the forseeable future (I suspect Canada's gonna be neglected once more, hence why I fired up this topic's original form in the first place), so hopefully that will include a lot of desired lossless music from there too (Whether I'll beat them to it or not remains to be seen).

Than that's where I've provided them. I have not found any signs anywhere I've scoured of a verified-officially sourced 'Desecration' and had to settle with the only MP3 I could find in my-known existence. Fortunately, I was otherwise able to archive the other three from my CD copy before deleting them for good after being told there was no official link remaining and that 'To Galaxy (Extended)' was actually a unique mix rather than a bonus early inclusion of Vol. 2's release like the other two are (That's if I remember correctly).

Mistake in the Halo 4 Vol. 2 FLAC (and possibly others):
You have the ISRC tag spelled IRSC, thus making it invalid.

It is indeed a typo that I failed to catch & correct, and it would be just for Halo 4 Vol. 2 (My stored WAV copy has the typo as well, so I'd safely assume all format choices do so as well). Looks like it's not the only one that I missed either.

I'll see about getting corrected reuploads up as soon I can. Thanks for pointing it out.

The Halo 4 Original Soundtrack Vol. 2 links have been finally updated to correct a small tag typo that was reported, with the FLAC format now being compressed to Level 8 instead of the previous Level 5.


I feel it may be worth also mentioning that I recently discovered that some former staff from now-defunct major video game music label Sumthing Else Music Works (https://vgmdb.net/org/25) have since formed Skill Tree Records (https://skilltreerecords.com/store), who have so far partnered with eight companies previously partnered with Sumthing Else including 343 Industries, Double Fine Productions, THQ Nordic & Square Enix and restored/renewed digital market availability for video game music such as the Halo franchise (Every single music release for the franchise at present), Darksiders & Red Faction series, and most recently Deus Ex: Human Revolution & Deus Ex: Mankind Divided.
