Would be very much appreciated if anyone happens to have a link prepared!

I will make a formal post later on tonight. I have a long day of work today plus extracurricular activity after work, so unless someone else uploads something by then I'll get it done. I just need some time to comb over a few tracks that appear to be repeats of other songs, but so far I'm seeing there are 7 brand new songs. There's two songs they brought back from 1.0 that's on the Before Meteor album (Holy Consult and the song for when you're doing gathering leves), 2 from 2.x (Midgardsormr's theme and Steps of Faith) and two from Heavensward. (Dragonsong and another that plays during story cutscenes with Cid)

The files extracted with hex filenames but I have an inkling where a couple of them may play. Also, there is new Hildibrand quests this patch and there is a new song that plays during it, but it was released in the 3.2 patch files which you can find in this sub-forum also.

sweet, take your time. I'm just really hyped for Nidhogg's fight music. When I first heard it in the trailer, it really made me anxious to do the fight itself.

I'm still getting my rip ready, but here are the files from the Nidhogg fight if you want them early. Still have hex names, and still in ogg format, but this is just to help you out a bit sooner than Oro can! I Havent experienced this in game yet, but I'm going to guess that these songs just play for the EX version of this fight while The steps of faith and Dragonsong play in the MSQ trial. Just a guess though I will have my answer tonight when I get home!

Here's the rip I uploaded this evening:

Thread 205689

I'll update the song names a little better once I've played through more of the content, but so far I've labeled the songs on a best guess basis.

both you and darkravenx are miracle workers, thank you. What software do you use to rip the music? I want to learn how to do this myself as well so I won't have to rely on saviors like you guys all the time :D

There's a program called ffxiv_explorer that allows you to open up the various dat files of the game, so if you use this you can get a lot more from the game if you wanted, such as graphics and models and stuff. From there you can just use any old encoder to convert the ogg files to MP3 or whatever format you want. I personally use xrecode II since it has a lot of options. (and it's free)

awesome, I'll start looking into those two when I get home. Thanks again, I appreciate it.

Exactly what oro said. It's a plus to have Audacity on the PC as well since FFXIVs raid tracks are always multi channel (to cover the fade in/out from battle). Youll see 2 mono channels for each "layer", just set each one of the channels from each layer to the left/right channel respectively, export that as battle track, then hit the X on the channels that fade in for battles, and export what is left as the dungeon track. You can make these changes while they are still in .ogg format, then use Audacity with its lame mp3 encoder to convert to mp3 during the export process. The other's won't need to go through Audacity, just convert with whatever ogg to desired format converter you wish. Oh, the track for "The Feast" is multi channel too, since it adds the crowd sounds in as a layer in the ogg file, so that track had to have the crowd sound channel removed as well.
