Hi all,

Here's the new music that was released with patch 3.3 for FFXIV. There were 13 files in total released in the patch, however six of them were duplicate songs from prior points in the game. (2 from 1.0, 2 from 2.x and 2 from Heavensward) This is the best track list I can come up with having not played the new patch yet. The file names got exported in hex, so these are just descriptors:

24b255d3 - new (Sohr Khai)
83d7acb1 - new (short hymnal chant (Ozma fight interlude))
a4cc0146 - new (Azys Lla theme remix (A Bloody Reunion solo trial) [Warring Triad Sidequest])
a2742f0d - new (remix of Night in the Brume (used in one of the ending cutscenes for the main story quest for patch 3.3))
c0117606 - new (Weeping City of Mhach)
dd0872bd - new (Ominous Prognisticks remix (Nidhogg Phase 2))
e0685b0d - new (Heavensward intro song ending remix (Nidhogg Phase 3))

so what's the Hullbreaker HM theme supposed to be, a 1.0 track?

Thanks for the upload! I was wondering if it was possible to upload all 13 files in their original formats as well. Thanks again!

I haven't personally done the new Hullbreaker dungeon yet, so I assume it's either one of the reused tracks or the original Hullbreaker theme from 2.x.

Sure, here's a link to the ogg files:

Weird as hell that the 1.0 Ishgard music is used for Hullbreaker HM...

They slowly re-introduce music from 1.0 into the game over time, but yeah, was kinda weird to hear that relic come back after so long haha.

Just as an aside I've edited the OP with where most of the music plays. Only one I haven't heard yet is the Azys Lla rock song, but I'm pretty sure it plays during the Warring Triad sidequest I haven't done yet, so I'll confirm once I get around to it.

Oh, I'm not surprised that they brought back 1.0 music. I'm just surprised that they took it out of its original context - Ishgard - and used it for a Maelstrom training program. I wonder if it will be on the next OST? If so, I think they'll rename it, like they did with some of the 1.0 music on the Before the Fall OST.

Can confirm that the Azys Lla music is used in the Warring Triad quest.

83d7acb1, on the other hand, doesn't play when first entering Sohr Khai. It's a Weeping City of Mhach song. Remember how in the World of Darkness, when swallowed by Cerberus, the music changes to a more muffled version of the boss theme? Something like that. Basically, at one point in the third boss fight, the boss, Ozma, casts Black Hole and you fight your way through two minibosses in another dimension before returning. That portion of the fight is where 83d7acb1 is used. It's a hymnal remix of Aetherpause (the Void Ark background music), in case you didn't catch that.

Thanks, I haven't actually been in Mhach yet, but it stood to reason I could deduce the main song for it. I do know that Sohr Khai had a short intro that sounded very similar to the song I highlighted, but I could be mistaken as I've only heard it the one time and was probably too busy watching the cutscene to focus on the music.

I'm not entirely certain, but I think the actual title for 'e0685b0d' might be Revenge of the Horde, as a track by that name is on the Orchestrion in the game and the roll for it was stated in the Orchestrion Log as being gained as a drop in the Hard Mode Nidhogg fight. But as I don't have this track on the Orchestrion in the game this is just speculation.

Was doing some reading about ogg loop points, so got a little bonus: Nidhogg Phase 3 looped 4 times. Going forward on my gamerips that have ogg files, if songs aren't very long I'll make sure they loop at least a couple times. It sucks when a song only plays for a minute and a half and it's really good.

If I find some spare time I may. Work has been hectic and leaves me little time to chillax. This was more of an experiment as I had a couple friends that wanted a longer version of this (as did I) so it's something I cooked up.

If you feel adventurous it's something you could pretty easily do yourself with the right software. I'll send you a PM with how to do it.

Thank you much, friend! I need to learn how to do these myself too

The Weeping City of Mhach's quality is abysmal. Could it be the fault from FFXIV Explorer?

I think part of the issue is that those specific pieces are multiple layers and are put in there in very strange ways to shift in-game as battles and normal area music change dynamically. That being said, thanks for posting these.

The individual tracks when split from the ogg file are mono tracks, so that's why they don't sound so great. I was just providing an option for people to hear the tracks separately from the complete song. You're better off listening to the original ogg song if you want the best quality.
