These two took me months to do and organize, but now I can present the scores of the Adventure games at their fullest and at their best sound quality. It's a shame though that the Instrumental Versions of the SA2 Knuckles stages have yet to surface officially.

My guess is that Sega really wanted to display Hunnid-P's "talent," so they forced him in every Knuckles stage, all because they thought that was a character that would listen to rap.

They're supposed to be remastered edits of the original tracks, meaning that although they might sound basically the same, there are subtle changes made to it that makes the music sound better. However, True Blue states that only "Live and Learn" and "What I'm Made Of," which is confusing.

It would have been awesome if this would be on the collection too, but I'm still amazed with one disc full of Chao garden music. ;-)

By the way, I just wondered why there is another Chao Lobby music then I remembered. But someone got the answer on YouTube: They used the music from Sonic Adventure 1 for the Lobby of Sonic Adventure 2: Battle on the Gamecube. Never played the Dreamcast version. Just if anyone should wonder too.

Just want to start by saying thanks for making this, it's always annoyed me that the OST's were missing tracks, especially with the reissues. However 1 track that I noticed you didn't have is the SA2 Trial version of City Escape, which was an instrumental version with Lead Guitar playing instead of the Vocal track, it's only been on the pre-release copies as far as I'm aware, such as the SA2 Trial, SA2 Trial Version (was a later less common demo) and I think the Preview Version might have had it too, but I'm not sure on that.

I've ripped the track from the game's files added a fade out and converted it to FLAC as an extra track for disc 4, I added a fade out due to the track just cutting off abruptly, I did try to splice in the ending from the Album version of the instrumental, but I was unable to do it without a noticeable change in quality as one being from the OST CD and the other a rip of the already compressed game files. If you or anyone else can do it, I also uploaded the WAV file if anyone wants to to try it.

It's a shame there doesn't seem to be any better quality version of the track than on the trial disc.

I would like to bring up that there are a couple of errors with the SA2 OSV:

1) the "normal" version of Deeper is actually the album version, since the Dreamcast version also lacks the vocals.
2) Event: ARK Control Panel is actually Advertise: Title from the Dreamcast version
3) Letz Get this Party Started is missing from the OSV as it plays in the Chao World Lobby in the GameCube version as well
4) The wrong Goal jingle is used: the one present is from SA1 rather than the two from SA2 (a win version, and a lose version (differentiated as there is a "wah-wah-wah-waaaah"))

Sadly, that is the case from what I noticed on the SA2 OSV. Please fix.

just remembered that the "Unused" Egg Carrier title is actually used at least four times in game. All for when it transforms between modes.

Once again, thanks for all the time and effort put into these complete versions. I'm so anticipating Sonic Heroes, whenever you have the time for that.

I've made a discovery: there's no actual difference between the original and 08' ReArranged version of It Doesn't Matter on SA2. Using Spek, it shows that the frequencies are pretty much exactly the same. It's really a tagging error. All the other 08' ReArranged tracks should be what they are, including What I'm Made Of for future reference.

I am referring to the Chao Garden Jingles. And for that matter you mixed up which Chao gets which fanfare. The "Hero" Jingles (the dark jazz ones) really belong to the Dark Chao, and the "Dark" ones (light jazz) belong to the Hero Chao. The pipe organ pieces only belong to the Neutral Chao

The music tracks were only edited, in lossless format that is, for overall length. The tracks themselves come from the game files and from the many official soundtracks.

Originally I applied a slight sound gain to them, but I found an option on Dbpoweramp to assure good stereo without being too high on the sound volume.

Mad respect for creating this, 3DMan. However, there's still a few missing tracks for Sonic Adventure 1.

The shortened instrumental versions of the character songs that plays during story events aren't here, as well as chorus only versions of the character songs that play during the "How To Play" screens. There's also a highly shortened version of Open Your Heart in a similar vein in the main menu that isn't here.

I just popped in both my Dreamcast and Gamecube copies of SA1 and listened to the main menu theme. While the version you're talking about uses the first and second verse and the second version of the chorus ("Open your heart, and you'll see~") and also loops, the version I'm talking about goes right for the first version of the chorus ("Open your ear, it's gonna be alright.") and then fades out, no loop.

Also, "[Event] Strain" actually loops in-game. Is that enough reason for a Game Ver. track?

Yeah, they're kinda sucky. View them as just another possible source to get it. An example of the songs.

But as for converting into FLAC... I use Audacity if such a need arrives.

I believe it's simply because the music is ripped directly from the game itself. Sometimes in-game music can differ from what is released on official soundtracks, and I imagine that's the main reason why Original Sound Versions exist.

These two took me months to do and organize, but now I can present the scores of the Adventure games at their fullest and at their best sound quality. It's a shame though that the Instrumental Versions of the SA2 Knuckles stages have yet to surface officially.
