My link only contains around 36 tracks transcoded from a Youtube channel prior to Hyrule Warriors' release, whereas Maniac has pretty much all of the files for the game. I'll keep mine up for sampling purposes, but would recommend the full version.

btw youtubes max audio quality is currently sitting at 128kbps, there is no reason to make it 320kbps, maybe 192kbps but certainly not 320kbps, its just a waste of space, anyways i dont want to sound rude, i thank you for doing this.

Hm... With the program I use, the sound quality seems to improve a little bit after the transcode is complete. It automatically tags the bitrate at 320kbps because that's what I have the conversion quality set to, so that's all I had to go by. Nevertheless, your explanation makes sense, in practice, so I wouldn't mind reconverting and reuploading the soundtrack if necessary.

Its upscaled, to 192kbps, as you know upscaling does basically nothing, if you dont believe me then download a song at 320kbps, then re sample it to 128kbps and 192kbps. Also youtube has a messed up sampling rate so everything seems quiet

I hope that someone can do a gamerip of the score because that's the only thing good about Zelda Dynasty Warriors.

Great game by the way, I like it a lot. Just bought the European one and enjoying it thoroughly. I am not a fan of Musou games really - nor Zelda tbh, but there is something very endearing in Zelda Musou - weird, eh. Lots of collectibles and all kinds of surprises, decent leveling up and item making system and fun gameplay. Music is good too, although I prefer a lot more "synthetic" sound. Fun game, and totally worth buying if you have Wii U. In fact this is one of the rare MUST buys for Wii U. I understand people are a bit wary of this mix-up of Musou and Zelda, but if you ask me, the combo is very good. Sad thing is, people don't believe in Wii U anymore, too many disappointments from Nintendo has nigh-ruined the console, but I believe in Zelda Musou and upcoming Bayonetta (1+)2 - and some people may buy that Smashsomething game as well...

Hmm, there is already a hater of ZMusou here... Of course.

This is just Dynasty Warriors reskined with Zelda content, just go around slashing hundreds of enemies then repeat it again, lots of fanservice (not exactly a good thing if not done properly), inconsisent framerate and very average graphics for a Wii U exclusive. But here's the thing, it's a quick cash-in that Nintendo's done so I can't really expect a quality game out of it.

But hey, at least the music doesn't suck and the in-game models look very nice too, so it's not all bad.

No it isn't the game isn't worthy of a high score such as 8 and up because it's just a Dynasty Warriors rehash and being that you don't even own a Wii U you shouldn't be talking about it. I've got one and I tried it out.

It isn't a requirement to own+try stuff, before one is allowed to talk about it. Why do you think stuff like reviews, trailers, etcetera... Are released? To also allow those who haven't bought a game/platform, yet, to get a general idea about the subject... And subsequently be able to make up his/her own mind about it.

Unless it's already known how to rip files straight from a Wii U disc, this one will be a bit tricky to do well as there is a lot of dynamic music.
Even the main theme on the menus varies widely between different screens, and the built-in 'sound test' doesn't factor in any of that.
As just one example, the variation of the Zelda theme that plays during the first stage has a rock motiff, but if you pause the game, this is stripped completely and focuses on brass instead. Entering a keep or using focus mode also adjusts the music, adding and removing instruments, changing tempo, etc.
Fortunately, the game does have volume control options, so you can mute sound effects.

As for the game itself, I'm loving it having clocked an unhealthy amount of hours since the 18th, yet have still only cleared about 40% of the Adventure Mode map.
Might help that I've never played a DW game, but you can tell that a lot of love went into making this and it is absolutely not just a 'quick cash in'. There's too much care and detail for that.
The level of fan service is, of course high, but it's pretty well executed.
Especially if, like me, you haven't been spoiled in any way before hand.
A number of memorable moments that, as a Zelda fan, made me grin.

There are rumours of the Wiikey U and such devices but they've not yet been released even though there's people waiting to buy them (for the sole purpose of playing Wii U games for free -- Wii U doesn't have that many, to be honest).

Wiikey U would be useful for this utility, I think, but still gotta wait.

Edit: Seeing how Nintendo has been releasing soundtracks of their games via Club Nintendo I'd say it's possible that Hyrule Warriors could receive a CD treatment! ^_^ I'd love to get a hold of that score and the artwork!

Trusting reviews in 2014, even after all this Gamergate stuff, heh.

The music in this game is pretty sick. Surprise I'm enjoying it, the only other Dynasty Warriors game I liked was the two Fist of the North Star titles (second one being up there in my favorite games list).

Tossing bombs into the King Dodongo mouth made me smirk.

Going to check out the adventure mode after I get back from my run.

I remember those Gundam Warriors games having super dynamic music also but someone was able to make a medley out of the different tunes, so I look forward to seeing what someone on here will do.

If this game doesn't get an official soundtrack release, then at least I figured out a way (unless somebody else found out and hasn't mentioned anything yet) to get the trickiest dynamic music piece recorded: the variant when Focus Energy is active. Initially, I thought it would be near impossible to record these, due to the fact every level theme has a pause screen variant. There is; however, a way to do it and the process is pretty simple.

When the default BGM is on, cutscenes typically interrupt the level BGMs. When you have a song picked out from the selection rather than the default, the cutscenes don't interrupt it much at all. Enabling the "skip cutscene" option doesn't remove the selected BGM either. It's probably clear enough by this point, but just simply activate the Focus Energy before a cutscene that you can skip. Solidus Cave; though, will be the most painful to record out of all the level themes. It has not only the normal four variants, but also a couple more due to the crystal caves. Hope that this helps out for those trying to make another rip.

Edit: Okay, so apparently you can just use the soundtest anyways for the different variants. For some reason, the menus don't indicate this, but you can use the L and R buttons to change each of the variants albeit have a slight transition before playing it. Makes things a lot easier, unless you want the beginning of each variant.

Maybe so, but Nintendo licenses out all merchandise, including soundtracks, so it would be more likely for Koei Tecmo (or whoever publishes the Dynasty Warrior soundtracks) to release one. If Nintendo failed to release soundtracks for Twilight Princess and Skyward Sword, what makes you think they will do one for a spinoff not even developed by them?

In any case, a proper gamerip will end up being more complete than a disc-based OST anyways. I doubt the additional variants for each track would be released commercially. One can always hope, though!

In addition, here's the link for the fanfares. Something that I found odd was that sometimes they were tied with the music and sometimes with the SFX. Thank you again!

This is worthy of being on the main post of this topic or a topic of its own for more popularity.

Really glad that the crappy YouTube rips aren't needed any more (I listened once and never again anyway).

Thank you for the updated link, VGManiac. =3

So am I, actually. That Youtube rip was of the highest quality I could find (again, at the time) and was also the most complete collection. Thankfully someone with an actual copy of the game recorded all of the tracks to a higher format.

And yeah, it definitely deserves to be a standalone thread.

I'm definitely glad how the rip turned out, as well as everybody enjoying it. It took awhile, but it was worth it in the long run. I probably should've made it in a separate thread, but didn't think about it. XD

By all means, go ahead and make one. Your hard work deserves to be put in the spotlight now.

I apologize. I'm currently uploading the newer version. It'll be up in a few minutes and I'll post the link. Has nothing to do with ToS'ing. I kind of deleted it myself. ^^;

Man you are great for doing this. Most people wouldn't take the time and effort into giving a complete rip like this. Thank you so much

If Nintendo releases a CD of this game on Club Nintendo (perhaps for 2000-3000 points) then I am definitely getting it, I love the score so much!

Is there any reason why you guys are downloading a line-in rip when a gamerip is available? (Thread 181160)

Because for some people's internet connection, 2.25 GB is a bit too overwhelming.

Thank you SO much VGManiac456!! I was really wanting this soundtrack, especially tagged and in such good quality.

Just as a note, though: MikeOShay is correct--there's still a slight glitch in the song at 3:24 on the first track. It jumps ahead.

Thanks for this. After 105 hours on the game, the music really has gotten into my head. And it's great!

I still hope for an official release, but it seems Nintendo doesn't care much for releasing complete Zelda OSTs lately. The game has a sound test, for crying out loud!!

Sorry for the 4-month bump.

That's one good reason but the main reason (at least for me) is that unregistered users can't download files that are over 1GB in size and tells them to both register and get their app for said files.

I don't mind registering to download files (like this forum, which users must login/sign up to see the links and be able to click on them which you did if you can see this sentence (www.google.com)) but I draw the line at needing to download and install a program/app to download bigger files, mainly because of personal (and admittedly silly) paranoid reasons. That's my 2 cents on that.

Anyway, I want to say thanks to Monado Buster (for starting this thread) and thanks to VGManiac456 (for putting up the full soundtrack). I'll download it once I get back home, which has a significantly faster internet speed than where I am located as of this post.

Heh, forgot that I'd even made this thread.

The OP has been updated with some important details, linking to VGManiac's thread while my file will still be up for people to sample.
