One of the best known and most beloved classical works of all times, Vivaldi's "The Four Seasons", plus some less known but wonderful violin concertos, are performed by the charismatic violin virtuoso Itzhak Perlman, backed by the London Philharmonic and Israel Philharmonic Orchestras. Perlman's playing is touching and the result is soul stirring. Enjoy a masterpiece in lossless.

I can't let this one pass: Vivaldi, London Philharmonic and Perlman is too much to ignore even for a pedestrian in classical music. Thank you very much, laohu.

I was wondering if anyone had a copy of this to re-up somewhere and share. I heard this is a great performance and recording. Thanks.

I didn't download it myself because I've already got the two versions that I've posted here previously (I Musici (Thread 212813) and the Avison Ensemble in Surround Sound (Thread 213921)), but anything with Perlman is likely to be very good. https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/42753709/Photobucket/nod.gif

(Datafile's website says a free download will take a little less than 5 hours, if you're willing to hang in there that long.)
