Composed by Brian Gascoigne
Montage (percussion): Stomu Yamashta.
Analog synthesizer: Desmond Briscoe and David Vorhaus.
A blend of electronic and conventional orchestra music reminiscent of Gil Melle soundtracks.
Never released, composer-arranged (cues not in film order) version. Not the fake version which is just a movie rip with dialog clipped out and bad volume.

23 tracks, 36 minutes. Includes my basic inserts.
PM for FLAC download.

2 years after posting here, it has been released as 4 suites on vinyl & download, then a year later on CD. Compared to the tracks here, they have been trimmed or re-edited, and faded together. Otherwise, the music looks identical except for some increased volume.
4 Suites = 23 Tracks (as arranged below)
Phase I = 2+1
Phase II = 8+6+11+13+4+22(trim)+3
Phase III = 16+9+15+10+14+18(trim)+ 7+5
Phase IV = 12+17+19+20(trim)+21(re-edit)+23(trim)

Below are some very cool hi-rez inserts (click to enlarge and then download) by member zerokomma, who is suppose to post his tracklist...

Very Cool. Saw this as a kid and always liked it. The only feature length movie directed by Saul Bass, I believe. I'm sure I'll enjoy this. Thank you.

I was highly skeptical, but it appears to be the real thing. I dont know if it's complete; the first and last tracks occur elsewhere in the film, but possibly put there for aesthetic listening reasons. Sound quality could be improved, but it's not bad.

Sir, you are magic! You have posted a number of items now that I had no idea even existed. I really appreciate this flood of music from older, often obscure films.

to be honest, I had already ripped these for private torrent sites (although ripping isnt the hard part) so they were already on my PC. Just needed to be zipped & uploaded. I figured they would have migrated to sites like the Shrine long ago so I'm alittle surprised by the lack of pirating, I mean sharing....I have regular wave cds of almost everything if someone really needs the Flac, though it'll take me longer to upload.

usually we share wave in lossless Flac format (which can be decompressed back to wave). Any reason that wont do? The ziddu links still work.

Hey, sadsack. Flac format is perfect. I'd just rather get it through a site like Wetransfer or Dropbox directly from you, rather than signing up for MirrorCreator, etc. Is that cool? Love the score! email is kevindredgeATgmailDOTcom

Thanks!!

The movie studio trimmed the ending when the film was originally released and that ending was thought lost. (Ran about 4 -5 mins and was quite psychedelic in nature. A 70's movie going the full mental, imagine that.) But it was found and hopefully someone will release a restored "Phase IV." One of my favorite films with an intelligent script, some truly amazing micro photography and editing.

I have slow internet, Rapidshare deleted my free account, and mirrorcreator files have a short life span. Anyone who has the time to upload my files to a more permanent host and post links in the original threads (or their own) would be greatly appreciated.

Waxworks Records is doing an official release on LP this month - This (http://modern-vinyl.com/2015/02/20/phase-iv-soundtrack-up-for-pre-order/) has the details and links to Waxworks to pre-order and a streaming link to preview the release.

as stated, the ziddu links still work for both mp3 and flac. Use their RED button (not the green button) which will prompt you to enter the random confirmation code. Then click the RED button again.

Thanks for sharing the sountrack, sadsack! I saw this film on a lazy Sunday afternoon in the mid-to-late 70s and, young though I was, still discerned that it was a very different sort of watch. That was the last I heard of the movie until catching up with it online just a few years ago.

The aforementioned lost ending can be seen, in bootleg form, here:

thanx for this brilliant score
and yes if you get a chance to see the film itself, the (lost) ending posted above is necessary to understand the intent
completely changes the meaning
and makes a good short film on it's own for anyone who likes analog cinema effects
the officially released (and only available) edit is a tragic story of corporate interference in a work of art
my $.02

Mostly, but not exactly. The LP/CD suites on the retail version were edited and re-arranged as noted in the first post.
