They're from ASCAP which is an organization for musicians. It could be either... most likely they're from the sheet score

I think part og the problem is that Scorpranos did not get permission to post. He trusted someone with a couple of things that got posted. That burned his source and got him into hot water. At least that's my read on it from what little I have heard. He is hardly the only source, though. There is not one guy who has everything handing them out. One guy has a score. Another guy has a score. They each want what the other has, so they trade. Like a hostage hand-off...Then the next guy wants something, and offers a certain list in return. A deal is struck, the trade is made. At some point in all of that, someone posts here. Now, like some of what I have posted, I had express permission from the person who gave it to me, dig? BUT the person who gave it to then, or the person above that, may not have been ok with it. The more people who get involved in a particular trade, the more likely a leak will occur. That is why the original circle, those who may have the truly rare things remains to tight and murky. There are some things which just cannot be trusted outside of the circle or jobs could get lost, legal problems ensue. There have been a LOT of leaked sessions posted here in the last few years. Used to be almost none, now they are all over. Surely legal reps and those interested parties have not failed to notice?

I'm not surprised this has hasn't leaked at all.

Oh. I'd no idea the Man of Steel score would be so hard to get. :s

Because I watched the movie for a second time and realized the escape from ship sequence was not on any of the soundtracks I'd bought or downloaded, which was pretty fucking annoying. It's only after a bit of angry Googling that I ended up here and belatedly understood that any hope I had of being able to listen to this score while reading or writing is slim to none.

Which is incredibly sad. I loved the music. Loved it to bits.

I won't pretend to understand why there's such a need for secrecy on this. Wouldn't they want the music out there? Slap on a price and fans would eagerly buy it.

Again, to think I'll never be able to hear this in its entirety when riding the bus, or out for a walk, or when curled up in bed with a book, or when sat in front of the laptop at 3 AM laughing like a lunatic as I write write write my little heart out. D:

Dicky sent me one too. I guess for some reason he thinks that we're all traders who have all sorts of contacts. He really is a bit of a dick.

I wouldn't be surprised if he was trying to trick someone into sending him the sessions.

It'd be nice to think that the sessions are "out there" somewhere, though.

I have no contacts, I have no access, I have nothing.

People have sent me things for the following reasons:

1. To verify the authenticity (rips vs legit)

2. To make raw session materials into a genuine album (like 'The Perfect Storm' - perfect example of that)

3. Because they know I'll really enjoy the hell out of it and if it can be improved, great. If not, then just enjoy.

I don't know anyone in the trading circles personally, let alone the contacts which gives them access to this music...there's no "Hybrid Soldier" or "Scorepranos" I communicate with outside these forums....or even inside. I'm just a lowly fan as everyone else is of what they've provided.
