Bay Files has TWO premium boxes.

ONE BIG BOX and one small.

You have to click on the small premium box.

Now isn't that just too clever?

Or the HTML designer for the site just lost a job- the booger head.

mstrmind5
06-12-2013, 02:25 AM
No problems, just clicked to second premium download button near the bottom after the timer finished, as no regular download button appeared and it's currently downloading now. I'll report back when it's done.

Works and now see others reporting the same. Stupid design.

Are you kidding? This should at least spawn as many threads as did PROMETHEUS.

Then in 3 months there will be the special 4 disc set.

After that the recording sessions.

And most importantly the transcription for banjo and ukulele orchestra that will throw the local denizens into paroxysms of ecstasy tantamount only to gazing into the face of the Holy Mother.

Just you wait: at some point within the next week or two we're going to get the inevitable avalanche of "custom" and "fan" edits, remixes and remasters. Then, the recording sessions will be leaked and will be subjected to the same loving treatment. In the midst of all this, approximately 1,007 custom covers will be designed and proudly shared.

Life experience has taught me that it's extremely difficult to polish a turd but a surprisingly large number of people are always willing to give it a go... :-)

This music is NOT a turd. You may not like it (obviously). But there really is a great deal of merit and even subtlety beyond the bombastic quality (so Zimmer worked with a drum orchestra on this... fascinating.... Granville Bantok created a work with 6 harps). So the work has echoes of his masterful INCEPTION. James Horner's SEARCHING FOR BOBBY FISHER was FIELD OF DREAMS part two- both of which I liked.

(don't faint Amanda; JH Fan may not be around to catch you)

Leave the scatological vulgarities to the FSM forum (you should stop over there- all those great authorities and grown ups are going at each other over this music with an intensity tantamount to the first fifteen minutes of Saving Private Ryan (except those guys got to go to France).

Besides, where is the profit in COMPLAINING about a SURFEIT of free music? ;-)

(Dear Mom,

Have finally gotten that really spiffy job you always hoped for me. Do not know what it pays as yet but expect that I shall be able to wipe out small villages with the wave of my hand and have sex with swans. Are you still allergic to feathers? Anyway, it has a good dental plan and a gym membership resulting in a superlative smile and an absolutely stunning physique. My best to Dad. Tell my little brother to behave -or I will smite him to smithereens- and let sis know that I'll probably end up marrying her. Suggest saving up for her future therapy after she starts pushing out the kids.

Hugs,

I am glad to have the booklet until I have my own booklet it in my hands. As for Zimmer, I was listening to him long before he started scoring motion pictures. Yes, he has become quite commercial and yes, much of his music sounds like you already heard it before. Still, can you blame him for making a little money? No one can argue that he has not changed the landscape of movie scores from now on and lest we forget, there will be another composer who will break new ground and push him to the side. It is inevitable! That's all I got to say...I think.

I think this music is great. Play it alongside Crimson Tide and you'll hear a lot of similarities. And I know how much people love that Zimmer score. I wouldn't say I love this score, but there are parts of it I love, such as that electric guitar riff in the Man Of Steel theme in the Original Sketchbook cue. My favorite Zimmer period has always been the first 1/2 of the 90's and I think this score closely harkens back to that era. Minus the African musical influences - which I would love for him to revisit at some point.

"Rave review here" (http://wegotthiscovered.com/movies/man-steel-review/).

"John Williams defined Superman musically as much as any pop icon ever has been, and I think it is absolutely remarkable that I never once thought of Williams fanfare when listening to Zimmers compositions. It is possible, even, that I prefer the more subtly affecting nuance of Zimmers work."

This dude is nuts.

Yes, and yes. "Much" people love this score. Especially those who don't know the difference between "much" and "many".

To the rest, it's just dreadful non-music.
