More missing music (other than Darth's list) is the Orerry version of "Life", probably "Planetarium Engineers". It uses an alt ending with choir and orch, which underscores the unexpected shutdown. It's also tracked near the end of the film "Go Where They Go". Between these two places, it should be easy to isolate this alt ending from the BD/DVD, and tack it on the Ost's version of "Life" if it is clean enough :)

Couldn't tell you, as I have not and will not be downloading this one. "Friend from the Past" is most likely a suite from the OST. But I think it does contain Goldsmith's Alien cue in the beginning just like "Weyland Speech". Idk, don't really care either.

Anyway, I'm glad that we got the film version of "Planet Arrival" (my favorite part of the score), but I think I prefer the album version more.

I will say this for the last time. Something is wrong with this set. On mine it all came as it should. Perhaps this is what happens when something like his leaks when it shouldn't have?

The original FYC lists a track called "Into Space" between "Shaw & Holloway Briefing" and "Vickers' Lifeboat". It's not on this expanded edition. In the film we hear the opening of "Planet Descent" between those two cues. Only the second half of "Planet Descent" comes after "Vickers' Lifeboat". I suspect that "Planet Descent" (or "A Planet" on the OST) has been pasted together from those two tracks ("Into Space" & "Planet Descent"). Can anyone who has the original FYC confirm that? Would love to have those two cues with a clean ending and beginning respectively!

Concerning Darth2602's complete score list:
- "Hyper Sleep" is pasted together from "Sleeping Engineer" and "Dreams" and does not belong there
- "Weyland Speech" (at least on this set) is the same as "Weyland" on the OST and "End Roll Suite #2"
- "Planet Descent" is missing
- "Holloway Is Sick" is an alternate recording. The film version is actually the one from the OST ("Not Human")
- "Earth" is the same as "End Roll Suite #3" and does not appear elsewhere in the film

If anyone has the FYC recordings of "Into Space" and "Planet Descent" it would be great if he could share them! Thanks a lot!

In the movie, if you listen after "planet Descent" you hear what I first thought was a tracked piece from "Weyland" (OST), albeit only partially. I believe this may have been used to replace the version of "Touchdown" on the FYC, as it may be more mysterious than the larger orchestral version heard here. If I am right, both their central motifs are the same, but very different arrangements. So in conclusion, dare I say rename "Weyland Speech 2:04" to "Touchdown Alt" and rename "Friend From the Past" to "Weyland Speech" ????

It was a foreign poster I found and used for that cover. Sometimes I think foreign posters have better art than US posters. Ours are usually generic. But I will agree that Charlize looks much better than the artist rendition in the poster.

I agree, there are times where foreign posters beat the crap out of the ones made in the US. Quite frankly, in many other things, too. But that's not the point of discussion here.

I have not had time to read all this but i will respond once. The source for this is me. It was a **very** private share I did not mean to get posted. But, I was tired one night and sorting the library, and put this in with my soundtrack sets, instead of the do not share folder. And, it then got shared via soulseek. My accident did inindeed cause hurt feelings and senses of betrayal all 'round. Amh offered to take the link down but I figured the deed is done. Enjoy. Yes, mine was converted from flac, but given the situation, no chance of that getting posted by me or mine. The flac actually (and my personal set) has tracks not on here. So, have fun.

hey gang. Alright I know there's been an whole host of custom cover artwork already, and I certainly mean no disrespect to anybody's work before, but I had to throw in my own I've been working on tonight. This is a designer's dream, gorgeous artwork everyone, so I couldn't help but make several. Also am working on another one with the different poster, which needs quite a bit of work to make it fit into a square album cover design.

Also, as you'll notice, I call this the "Complete" soundtrack instead of just Expanded... for whatever reason I hate covers that say expanded/extended, just a pet peeve, so here you go, plus you can still keep them later when we actually get an official Complete. Alright enjoy, and more to come!

I have the 3D Blu-Ray copy of this and I though it would be great for the CD or a custom cover myself. I think the 3D in Prometheus is the best ever! (Yes, better than Avatar)

I have not had time to read all this but i will respond once. The source for this is me. It was a **very** private share I did not mean to get posted. But, I was tired one night and sorting the library, and put this in with my soundtrack sets, instead of the do not share folder. And, it then got shared via soulseek. My accident did inindeed cause hurt feelings and senses of betrayal all 'round. Amh offered to take the link down but I figured the deed is done. Enjoy. Yes, mine was converted from flac, but given the situation, no chance of that getting posted by me or mine. The flac actually (and my personal set) has tracks not on here. So, have fun.

Thanks for the feedback, glad you liked them. Also, I don't have access to the Blu-Ray, so if you, or anyone else has access to that artwork and can send it to me, then I'll gladly work on a new cover with it!

Man oh man, importing these tracks and trying to sort it all out with the official album version and getting Really confused. I kinda wish there was a track-by-track breakdown that showed the Expanded cue, and them matches them with the Album titles, or shows which are Alternate versions, etc. Mostly I want to make sure I'm not doubling up things which are the same exact cue, but also don't wanna risk deleting anything from the Album which is NOT on the Expanded.
Also curious about the cue "David (Unused)" from the Album, I see a "David Suite" on the Expanded download, any idea what this cue is about, is it actually a new cue that was unused, or is it some compilation of other tracks, and any idea where it might have been intended for in the movie, or simply serve as an end credit extra cue?

Would it be nice if Amanda would share the lossless version? Yes. But I respect her decision not to because of a trade agreement. In fact, there's a lot of stuff I don't share on the forums, not because I don't want to share them, but because they are from trade, and most of the time, I'm not slows to share it. It sucks, but that's the way it is around here. I'm sure that if Amanda was allowed to share the lossless version on here, she would.

So stop whining about Amanda not posting this in lossless and just be glad this got leaked at all!

I think you all should move along, and not perpetuate any arguments. I was upset it leaked, but I found it was my own stupid mistake. It did cause some issues, and I took the opportunity here and otherwhere to explain to certain members what happened. Also, the poster in this thread was taking some heat and I wanted very much for people to know that he got it fair and square, and had no way to know it was a "don't share" thing. Generally, Phideas, I would not mention it, one way or the other. I have a policy in general to not talk about a thing I can't share. There was just a bit of personal business tied up with this, is all.

The latter half was a bit snottier than I intended, I admit. The source is a very close friend, but he has now hidden this away, so the odds of his particular set getting shared are much lower. I only say this because of the debate on what should or should not leak, and this whole elitist thing. It may have leaked, but now won't. At least not from him. And I dunno what to say other than that.

Also it was not a trade. It was a very private personal gift. Completely random and generous, and I fucked up.

I think this score is nothing compared to the complete 'Lion King' score scorepranos uploaded, and I didn't like the film that much either. I was sent this before it got shared on here, but deleted it more-or-less soon after as it's not something I would ever listen to after being bored shitless by the film! The same goes for 'Inception' by the way, which I gave to a charity shop after turning it off about halfway through!

For real? How the hell could there possibly be an "inspired by" album? The only movies that have albums like that that I know of are the Spider-Man Trilogy, The Avengers, Godzilla, the Transformers Trilogy, and most other superhero films...

If it's a classical album, and maybe a few pieces from Lawrence of Arabia, then that would make sense, but other than that I think it's very odd...

In the movie, if you listen after "planet Descent" you hear what I first thought was a tracked piece from "Weyland" (OST), albeit only partially. I believe this may have been used to replace the version of "Touchdown" on the FYC, as it may be more mysterious than the larger orchestral version heard here. If I am right, both their central motifs are the same, but very different arrangements. So in conclusion, dare I say rename "Weyland Speech 2:04" to "Touchdown Alt" and rename "Friend From the Past" to "Weyland Speech" ????

I think "Planet Descent" and "End Roll Suite #2" are nearly the same piece. According to HZ.com, "Weyland Speech" is the only cue that has Goldsmith's Alien material in it, but Planet Descent and End Roll Suite #2 both remind me of the Alien score and I feel like they borrow more of Goldsmith's material

Because, hard as it may be to believe, there are many, many of us who have no idea what the series is or is called. Putting Hunger games on there tells people who normally would not know. In MY case, it is a giant orange warning sign, to keep me from straying too close to anything Games related.

I had never read it, never even knew of it. Then, **the movie** and all of it's hype. I watched it on pay per view, and was VASTLY underwhelmed by it. Now I have no desire to even read the original material. So by clearly labeling this project, it helps me from accidentally catching even a preview. :awsm:

On the official soundtrack it's slightly shortened and called "Infected".

I wish we could find the track "Into Space" from the original FYC promo somewhere. It's not clear whether it's included on the expanded under another name or not. I suspect it's the beginning of "A Planet" with a clean ending, whereas "Planet Descent (Landing)" is the second half with a clean opening. In the film they are cut in two, separated by "Vicker's Lifeboat".

Can anyone verify that the FLAC source is actually lossless? Compared to my MP3 version I don't hear any real discernible difference... of course, that may just be because the mastering for this score in all its incarnations is piss poor and sounds pretty thin and lousy.
