Please explain, how the act of someone sharing rare scores, will ultimately stop others from being posted? For example, how do you know that this guy doesn't have the scores you speak of and has every intention of sharing them? Answer - You don't - At least this guy is sharing scores; sessions for the community, i do not see anyone else now jumping at the bit to do so! Unless you have these scores already, from the private sharing game that is being played, then why else would you be so negative towards someone that is actually SHARING the scores! Do you think Scorepranos perhaps would share them? I mean the scores you mentioned. Its hardly likely, if he has them he would have shared them in his purges already, no? A little food for thought, I am sure!

I wont explain why because its damn complicated and it would never be enough anyway. And no he doesnt have them, but if he had Id like that he post them. Why? because that would prevent me to keep trading. And yes I had these scores not for the sake of having them and not all of you but to keep them until i find someone who has what I want the most. I already know about scorepranos dont worry and if he didnt share it, it had probably a good reason. You just want to wait with your cup of cacao to see someone giving you what you want, but you dont xare how complicate things can be in the backstage so I have my reasons to be negative.

And we are supposed to go without, just because you wish to get something in trade that will not see the light of day here... For that reason, sir, you are correct. I do not care. It is because of the traders that make life that bit harder for folk like me to obtain scores i want. And yes, with very little to barter with, i do hold my cup of empty cacao for those that are generous enough to share. I am not going to give you grace beacuse you want to sit on scores in hope you can get something with it. I am going to follow, yes like a lost sheep, those that share the scores!

Yes, yes you do. See folks, these "rare" scores are kept in inner circles. To hold onto, so a trade can be made. Some have traded rare stuff for them, some have even spent money on them. They claim that this is how the trades keep happening, and this is true. For those in these circles. My understanding is that these are not really as "rare" as we have been told, some have been around for a while. So the trades only continued for them, not us. Now, their work, trades, and spent cash are useless for these, and they are upset. Upset they cannot be used as leverage since we, the simple folk too dumb to understand politics now have them to listen to.

In the end, will it impair trading? **Maybe**. I mean for them certainly, since they have to regroup. But for us? Well, were these shared? No. Will others that are rare be shared? No. NOT until those scores become usless as trades or money makers. THEN someone like scorpranoes will come along and bless us wioth goodies. THAT is things are, and always have been, done.

This whole 'trade ethics' discussion is ,of course, utter bollocks. Those people illegally obtain stuff nobody wants them to have in the first place and then complain that they don't can make a buck (or trade for another illegally obtained score) off them if they are spreaded.

A classic 'Hey MacFly, is somebody home?' situation.

The only pressing question is: are there rare Goldsmith scores out there those people keep to themselves? ;)

At first I wanted to write "Not again" regarding this thread. But upon reading this I have to say that this is a very good argumentation in favor of sharing these scores. Why do we share? Because we want to give and we want to receive. You can share publicly (like here) or in closed circles. But then general behaviour kicks in... that those elitists behave exactly like kgray described is nothing new, they have been described to me like that on several other occasions. Basically they jerk off to the fact that they have something others are not having, all the while ignoring that what they are doing is still illegal. To now scream something like "No, dont do it, its ours, itll keep other possible shares hidden" is a severe sign of hypocrisy, something I personally cant stand.

And no, sharing those bootlegs isnt a real danger to people involved. There are only a few scores around that are extremely dangerous to share (Titanic for example) but in 80% of the times people like us are no danger to the industry. We are not known to the general public and your average Joe wont download a session like this one, they will either download the official thing or buy it. I for example have done the latter, Ive bought roughly 600 scores over the years - legally - and I dont intend to stop. Its still nice to have some scores in an expanded form.

BTW, to all those who threatened that some scores wont appear now that others have been shared: Frankly, I dont give a damn. And I wont even mention that a threat is the last line of defense here which means that you have lost. The DaVinci Code? Prisoner of Azkaban? I have already waited six years or more for them, I think I can wait a little longer. Eventually someone (including the majors) will release them anyway, thats how it has been for ages.

I will never believe that Titanic is "dangerous" to share. I think THAT is complete bullshit. Not when the sheer number of scores out there have been put out.

All those leaked Zimmer scores for the Pirates movies, the Batman movies, the Remote Control scores for Transformers movies, Horner's Spider-Man, Avatar, Spiderwick Chronicles, and countless others. All of those perfectly fine while Titanic isn't just because one person who never had any proof to back shit up aside from loving to tell elaborate stories, said so.

Unless someone like Scorepranos or kgray or anyone else who has provided so many of these scores for massive movies comes out and says Titanic is 'dangerous', then sorry. I won't believe one person's totally unsubstantiated claims just because he likes to run his mouth off and tell stories.

Good argument. But wasnt Salt nearly complete? I cannot remember right now... I would like to have it though, if only for a perhaps superior sound (the official CD sounds much too "apple-headphone-friendly").

Because one person who loves to tell stories about a certain sci-fi show says so?

I prefer to hear it from a few others who have leaked these things first. Then I'll believe it.

Soundtracks are not the only genre of music to get leaked. Not by a long shot.

But then again, it's not the only copy that exists.
Remember that the AVATAR FYC sold for a similar price and leaked just hours after it was sold?
I think sooner or later the PROMETHEUS and SKYFALL FYCs will surface somewhere. Same as it happened with the INDY 4 sessions: somebody sold them for like 24 bucks on ebay and that's how they got here.

Right. What makes me laugh, is those that claim to have these already and for the purpose of trading to get other things they wanted...
Lets just lay it down in laymen's terms....
What IF you did not have these scores that kgray has shared, you would be just as much in the camp as all the others that are drooling over these and thanking kgray, just like you thanked Scorepranos for his shares.
Its a sickly thing to think that those that were once in the same position as the rest of those here and now you are nothing but simpleton elitists that think they can get things like Harry Potter for the scores shared here. If it were that simple people, you would have got the Harry Potter scores by now, so stop with the record!
All you are doing is showing how bad it can be to attempt to be elitist in a non elitist field!

No, it is highlighting the very wide divide between factions. First, calling each other simpletons etc. Not needed, not conducive. I understand very well how the system works, and yet i have to wonder about some of these. Some that *could* be posted with little damage. I think -think- what is going on is not the actual shares. They are of middle worth to collectors, I know that. But, they see a half dozen or more sessions posted in one day, and they get worried that their sources will get worried. Sources worried equals a clamping down on material. A tightening of the circles of trust. In any tightening, people will get left out. Newer members. Members who worked to get to that level. This means that the "trickledown" stops trickling, and no one gets their goodies. And the way it is being said, it sounds like the ones who can't have their goodies now, or who were out-tightened, are gonna make damn sure shriners pay for the butthurt, and then blame this..person over here who posts once in a blue moon. Is that the deal?

I thought this was Bill Conti's score from 1984, so please disregard my former re-up request.

Sorry to join the discussion so late. I was wondering which one you're looking for, the 37 track bootleg or the 40 track bootleg? I have both in lossless, plus the official CD which is stored so I can't get to it till the winter.

You mean like a new flac source for Powder complete?

I do agree with you.
Every time I click on a download button, I get warning messages from the antivirus program.

4shared works best with an account. just create a free one and then click on download -> free download -> wait 20 seconds and your download will start.

the link is still good.

i hope this helps.

Thanks for the share and re-up. I have no interest in seeing the movie so I've never given the score a try, but I figured I might as well. Horner's work is usually worth a listen.
