Thanks so much for this release. The wars (and fan-made DVDrips) can finally end now that this is here. Does this mean that the forum can go back to its former awesome days when its visitors weren't unappreciative dicks and made coming to this forum a pleasant thing rather than what it was previously. I frankly disliked coming here but now that it's at its booming best means to appreciate it while it's here but don't make such a big deal out of it when it goes away. As time has proven time and time again, surprises do come when you least expect them so don't raise such a fuss and create a lot of unnecessary attention to it otherwise too much exposure to the fact it exists can put the person with the goods in a legal bind. Add to that a bunch of immature jagoffs disrespecting you and yeah you're gonna lose the goods whether it be for personal or legal reasons. Record labels are becoming more attentive to the consumers' demands these days so be patient and in no time at all you'll have everything you want through one mean or another. To conclude, thank you again for this release. I'll be downloading both of your releases and have to sacrifice some albums on my iPod to fit the trilogy but it's a sacrifice I'm looking to make. Happy holidays!

already I notice one bit that is missing, a short insert after 'You Best Start Believing' is absent, which was probably inserted after final recordings

The alternates mostly appear to be either different mixes or raw recordings, without the synth percussion added.

So now I know where that snare and timpani line in "Creampuff/King's Entrance" from PotC 4 comes from. The exact same thing is played in "Jack's Escape", before the big action part, but it's heard better in the alternate. They really couldn't think of anything else, could they?

yes in most cases the Alts are slightly different and not the versions used in the movie
though in some cases (Blood Ritual for instance) they sound quite different or the Alt was the version used in the movie

Yes - I definitely prefer the 3rd alternate to "Pirates Attack (Part 2)".

Jacks Escape: Original is the movie version and the score version (The Black Pearl)

Black Pearl Arrives: Here the alt is used in the movie

Sacking the Village: Sounds mostly like the original version to me, but there could be cues from the alternate in it

We're Catching Up: Original is the movie version

Blood Ritual: Original is the movie version. Alternate uses a different structrure as well, as opposed to most alternates

Ship to Ship Battle: Original is the movie version.

Elizabeth walks the Plank: They sound so much alike I cant even be sure, I think the movie uses the original and not the alt.

A Ship is Freedom: Alternate is the movie version. Original sounds very different, more jack sparrowy.

Underwater March: Alternate is the movie version and score version (part of 'Underwater March' obviously)

Pirates Attack Part 2: The third alt is the score version (Part of 'Skulls and Crossbones')
But the actual movie version seems to use parts of the original version and the 3rd alt (specifically in the latter half it sounds only like the 3rd alt).

Bloody Pirates: Original is the Score version (Bootstraps Bootstraps), Alternate is the Movie Version.

Will Rescues Jack: Original is the Movie Version

Happy Ending: Original is the movie version and closer to the score version (One Last Shot) than the alt.

Nice done! But the sessions i downloaded from this page (72 tracks) have not as much tracks as on the Hans Zimmer website says. The Hans Zimmer website list of the tracks that contains the complete score have 77 tracks. The list on that website says that Pirates Day One 4:56am is on the score and even a Pirates Of The Caribbean Theme Demo that is 5 minutes long;o There is a Cello theme of Jack Sparrow in that list ( i think it might be a part of 'Corset Problems') and there is an 'End Credits Alternate' of 2 minutes. What's the different?

I think the complete score there just includes stuff that was already released but not used in the actual movie

any End Credits could probably just be ripped from a DVD
and like I said those two themes are probably from the 4CD Treasures soundtrack, though I did notice the Jack Sparrow demos differ in length

Not exactly, but yes. Let me explain. Via Hans-Zimmer.com, the two end titles tracks are "53. End Titles (2:23)" and "77. End Titles (Alternate) (1:33)". After downloading this I found I was missing one of those, though I'm not entirely sure which one because it came with "End Titles (1:32)", which essentially is "He's a Pirate" off the original album. Nonetheless, I'm not too worried about any alternate end titles cue as I have the complete end credits suite for the film in 320kpbs, "Bring Me That Horizon (End Titles) [9:20]". So, not worried about anything missing there. As for the original demos, yes I have both of those. Track "56. Pirates, Day One, 4:56AM (Album Suite) (3:46)" you can find off the "Remixed & Unreleased" CD in that large Soundtrack Treasures Collection. Track "54. Pirates Of The Caribbean Theme (Original Demo) (5:28)"; I'm almost positive I have this track because from one of the expanded albums I've downloaded in the past, however, it was originally labeled "Pirates, Day One, 4:56AM (Demo) (Alternate)." Jack Sparrow Cello Theme is heard at the start of Fog Bound on the OST album. Corset Problems is heard in the film.

Jack Sparrow Cello theme, you'll find it in the Ex.Score " Donkey. Alt" 00;33.. ;)

I think that, the Cello theme is nicer played in the other movies.
There are 2 different cello players. 1 did 1 and 1 did 2,3,4!

Does anyone else have a clicking noise in some of the later tracks? I can't explain it any better, but it's not in all the tracks and does not sound like an intentional instrumental noise. It does it for certain in "Underwater March" and the few before it and after it. I can make a full list of cues tomorrow it does it in, as I'm heading to work very soon. If I'm the only one that hears it perhaps I'll just re-download it and see if something happened in the download. Thanks in advance.

Only scorepranos' 320k was ever leaked publicly.

And Dave is correct, I think there are, like, 5 cues missing from the CoTBP sessions. Or maybe they're missing in lossless only.
