and the only thing i was disappointed about in TDKR score was that the mix used in BB (Initiation Into League/Temple Fight/Saving Ducard, Bruce Left For Dead) & TDK (Wired) wasn't used... guess that was a JNH mix then huh?

I will say that I do not believe the mix featured on this album is the final film mix - at least not completely. There are a number of cues and mixes notably different from those featured in the film.

Now of course this doesn't detract from my overall elation over this release - it's still for all intents and purposes a complete score. There are minor things left to be desired, but petty considering a number of hours ago we still only had maybe a quarter of the music we have now.

This is not a critiscism or me being ungrateful before anyone gets huffy, this is merely an observation of a song: The track 'Rooftop Fight / Back To Batcave' has a small tune missing, the bit in the film when batman and catwoman jump off the roof into the bat and it rises (no pun intended) up and hovers for a second to face bane and then flies off, the main batman theme plays here which should be at 0:46 on the track but it builds up and then ends abrubtly.
Someone on here had previously uploaded an expanded score before this one was available, and you can listen to the track 'The Bat Saves The Cat' which does have the piece thats missing at the same time to know what i mean, but im sure most of you probably already know anyway.
I have no clue how to, but im sure it wouldnt be hard for someone who knows how to edit music to possibly incorporate that missing piece into the complete score track?

Prologue, Is He Coming Back?, All Out War... extended drums... OH GOD YES!

The Prologue is what sold me on the movie in IMAX. The complete sound mix (especially the score) was an assault to the senses on every level and I was disappointed to see that the music was completely left off of the album, add to that the horrible suite/split-track presentation of the album and you've got a complete miserable experience. As soon as the movie was released I just knew I had to have these sessions. Seeing it in the IMAX was one experience I'll definitely never forget. Great people, new appreciation from an old grudge against the composer, and the fact that The Dark Knight came out on my birthday in 2008 but the theatre was sold out and I made the mistake of not pre-booking. I luckily did not make that mistake with The Dark Knight Rises and I'm happy that the series came out, once again, near my birthday so I got to see the grand finale of an interesting franchise creating an entirely new spin on the Batman mythos in the grandest presentation possible. Then after months of patiently waiting, this score gets released in a more proper presentation after rumor began to spread of its existence. My displeasure with the album is not a secret but admittedly when I originally posted my request I didn't believe it could possibly happen because I know of the bullshit that circulates around here and eventually forgot about it then out of nowhere, here it comes!

Like was the case with Angels and Demons complete score, I noticed more issues with the inconsistent volume of the presentation over the extended silences at the beginning and end of some (but not all) tracks. After a quick balancing though, I managed to fix those issues and create a more consistent listening experience. Some tracks were mixed way too loud (not to mention the bass is so heavy in even the least threatening cues on the album) while the more quiet ones were near silent and in some cases all 3 of those cases occurred in the same track which was its own nightmare. Some tracks you couldn't really do much with because increasing the gain created irreparable noise and hiss but I managed to find a comfortable level to blend with the more mid-to-high gain tracks but I was pretty pleased with the results considering it was an on-the-spot job.

I admit the moment this posted I downloaded and had to keep myself calm because I realized (like with Angels and Demons) that it needed to have a complete overall on the volume because, once again, it was too inconsistent. After another painful hour and a half my mix was done and I was so excited that I did something I hadn't done in a long time: read a book while listening to this score and long after the book bored me I found myself captivated by the music that was both assaulting and nurturing my current state of mind for an hour later. I live in a rural area, we have bats and it was a conveniently windy night so the sound of nature mixed with the sounds of man was an entirely new and exciting experience all its own. I was hooked. I anxiously (but patiently) await the December Bluray release because with my digital projection setup I'll get to re-live the theatrical experience of the trilogy again and again in the comfort of my own home. For what it is, it's satisfactory.

And this is a problem....that is why these Files in Lossless would be perfect as you can do anything to the lossless file....edit, adjust volumes......etc.........

Anybody know if Imagine the fire is similar to "like a dog chasing cars" where it was meant for a scene but ultimately cut out? And what's peoples opinions on the 2 versions of chasing the convoy, because I personally prefer the one in "no stone unturned" it's so much more energetic overall and would have suited the scene better imo.

well people are saying some parts of it are played right before 'No Stone Unturned' (Imagine the Fire/Chasing the Convoy) does in the movie, and others parts play in the credits (where The End and The Shadows Betray You also only exist)

and I am not sure but I think 'Chasing the Convoy' is the same as the other track, just with more bits in the middle
