You.....ROCK! I'll definitely be giving this a listen when it's up. Who gives a flyin' monkey's ass if it's genuine FLAC or not, it's just amazing to finally have these after all the lackluster DVD/Bluray rips over the years. Thanks again for your generous contributions!

Well I think it's as close as we're ever going to get. It's still missing about 5 minutes of original score. Various short cues. It also does not include Elfmans cues they tracked in
from the previous Spiderman movies.

The missing five minutes could be on the other promo/recording sessions that have been leaked, but still this is much more expanded than the other ones and it's impressive.

My apologies if I sounded rude, you just know there are some in here who will throw a fit if it's not genuine FLAC. Also, admittedly the only film I've seen is the first one so regarding the tracked in music from the first two movies it's of no concern to me. Frankly, I was disappointed with Elfman's contributions. Burn me as a heretic if you must because it takes a lot for a diehard Elfman fan to admit something like that. His score for SM2 was an improvement but I didn't like SM at all.

Yeah. And if it were genuine Flac, then someone would be bitching that its not in 124hz, and so on. No one will ever be satisfied.
But since they were on CDRs sourced from a lossy source, I had to rip to Flac to keep the same quality they were in now. Would
sound worse if I were to rip a lossy cdr to mp3.

On a side note, I'm sure someone will post my stuff on a private site and not even get the curiosity of getting an invite.......

I just rewatched all three films, and really like the Elfman much more than this score. I truly disliked this film though. Not hate, but dislike. But, For me Spidey 2 stands up there as one of the best superhero adaptations done. EVER. If you have not seen it, you must.

I go fold laundry for five minutes and miss all this??? :sad:

The film version of Harry Attacks Peter is on here. The film version of the church scene is not on here. And that's because that extra chorus line was added in
during post production and was not part of the original score.

The opening montage is not on here. Like I said there is still about 5 minutes of score missing.

... Wonderful! Thank you! Despite hating the Danny Elfman stuff tucked in just-because, I've grown to love this one. Perhaps one day La-la Land will give it a proper release?

Do you know if the film version of the News Cast cue was editorially created or a full take in itself. Noticed that the News Cast on these sessions is shorter than the one in the film.

I just wanted the "News report" track for a long time. And it's here, and it's amazing.

There are a few odd differences here and there. Most don't matter - I can live without the chorus in "Tunnel Fight - Black Suit in Trunk" in exchange for cleaner-sounding horns (previous versions of that piece had the chorus as the film does but with really muddy-sounding horns playing the Black Suit theme). News Reel is the biggest one, but given that most of the unreleased stuff can be found in the DVD menus that's no big issue either. And for people who want the cue for Harry's Funeral, you can rip the DVD - the front channels have it in its entirety clean.

Another thing I found is that Final Battle Pt. 1 (ALT) is supposed to be overlaid into Final Battle Pt. 1 at the point the Spider-Man theme starts. Does make it sound a bit more heroic, actually.

The opening montage is available on that old bootleg as "Broadway Marquee". It's not complete, but again if you have the DVD you can complete it.

I was able to get a promo disc from Young's personal assistant a year or so ago. While I was happy with what was on it, I couldn't have been any more happy than this! At the same time it does suck we're still missing 5 minutes of music including some various short cues. Other than that, just be THANKFUL we've come this far and now FINALLY got this score, despite that it's still nit quite complete. Either way I'm really happy and thank you for scorepranos to uploading this score to the site. I've been wanting this for A LONG time.

P.S. If anyone wants the "Opening Montage" cue you can get it from one of the 2-CD DVD sets in one of the bonus menus. I don't quite remember which one but it's there. You'll also need SOME rear channel DVD rips for "Opening Montage", just as long as use the RL and RR channels then you'll be fine.

Yeah, especially with that track. My own edit just used the version from an earlier promo instead.

Some of the alternates are interesting, while some have no percievable difference - for instance, Spider-Man Saves Gwen has three tracks but the ALT version is the correct one, with the "original" being edited down (and clipped) and the "Alternate segment" being the same edit we heard in the earlier bootleg.

Point is, more often than not, there's replacements for those tracks that are affected so.

I couldn't help but tried this... How can we name "sessions" something with as much tweeks as this ? That bafles me (<- a friend's preferate expression ! ;-) ). This is more an expanded (or "complete" if you will, nvm) with alternate mixes... Or even mixes piece by piece. "Harry Attacks Peter" for instance: the 1st half are the same take, one with female choirs shut down, the other with male choirs shut down. The version I already have have both: THAT only you can call "complete".

Cheeseparty you once reviewed many of the SM3 related releases, that was nice. You mentionned several stating one sounded hoter than the others etc... I don't remember the detail.

Anyway I remember I tried both your short promo along with Takehiro / Kafarasomething's one and the funny thing is that Chris Young's sounded better (least processed on one) and the Debney/Lurie tracks better (same thing) on the other. This is unfortunately the only bootleg with a few cues from Young quasily untouched.

Now for the most expanded lossless goodie, and despite quite some amount of reverb that didn't retain the whole set to sound OK, I've got only one name to say: ManOfDesiny (edited my mistake!).
He posted the best stuff about it, now surely long gone.

It amazes me a bit that nobody around, at least once in a while, gathers all the best material that has been shared to put it presented together in one single set...
