Hi

One of my biggest interests are isolated scores from DVD and Bluray. As i don't have a player for laserdiscs, this is not something i have been collecting. Anyway, i have made quite a few rips of these isolated scores myself and wanted to check how much interest there would be for uploads and perhaps also if any of you have something to contribute with as well. These rips will be uploaded in flac but those of you that are more interested in mp3 can always convert them yourself. With all the apps out there it's not a big problem doing so. But remember! By doing so you will degrade the quality further!

As i mentioned, these are my own rips and i always try to squeeze the most out of them, but in most cases, that's what it is: The rip itself and not any alternates and such making it one of those "complete" or "even-more-completer" rip that people compete with. It's the music as it is heard on the isolated track and nothing more (exception - if there are any incomplete songs, i have tried to find a lossless version of those.)

If there is something you find of interest, send me a PM, DON'T clutter the thread with requests. I will be likely to ignore those.

If you like my work, feel free to click Like and boost my rep... ;) comments, constructive criticism, ideas on how to improve my work are greatly appreciated :)

Do you happen to have access to any isolated score i don't? I'm always interested if you could make the original AC3-file available (or whatever format it would be in)

Should you wish to see a complete list of what i got at the moment (all of it is not ripped and processed yet) there's a list of what i have available in the "About Me" part in my profile.

To clarify for those wondering:

An isolated score is simply the music as a separate audio track on the DVD/BluRay (as opposed to the regular audio track with speech and SFX). Sometimes there is only music, sometimes it has the composer's commentary as well and if you're lucky, those commentaries do not mix with the music. There might also be significant drops in music volume due to composer's commentaries and those isolated scores takes a lot more work before they're done.
Rips of the front or rear or any channels with sfx and/or speech are NOT isolated scores but "simply" something where someone has tried isolating the music from the speech and SFX.
This thread will not have any such rips. It will only be about isolated scores.

As far as the "lossless" go... all of this is flac which is as lossless as it gets. The source itself is seldom lossless. See the excellent explanations a couple of posts further down about this.

AND NOW READ THIS!

If the latest official release of any of the isolated scores was by Varese or the film was a 20th Century Fox release, I cannot share any links, publicly or privately. I hope you understand that i don't want to risk a ban. I will leave the info for them though, for "educational" purposes.

I HOPE YOU READ THAT!

Sounds quite interesting to me. I would be interested in the Herrmanns and the Horners. Too bad you didnt rip a few rare Herrmann scores... like The Devil and Mr. Webster, etc... (although it could be, they are not available on blue ray yet...??).

Great work so far!! Cheers

That's something I don't understand : why are the isolated scores lossy ?

Neither DVD's or Blu Ray's have lossless music tracks. They are simply mpeg encodings, for example the BFI have some of the highest mpeg encodings at 320 kbps but a standard DVD is usually 192 kbps encoding. They are just mp3 soundtracks!

DVD uses lossy ac3 (dolby digital) enconding @ 192kbps when 2-channel and 448 or 384kbps when 5.1.. Dolby digital ac3 is WAY better than mp3, even at 192kbps. Blu-ray can make the use of lossless audio such as DTS-HD Master Audio and Dolby TrueHD, but as far as I know, only one label uses it when it comes to isolated score...

Woah, slow down there. First of all, 99.999% of audio tracks on DVD are encoded as AC3 (Dolby Digital) which is not MPEG, MP2, or MP3. DVD does not support MP3 at all. The DVD specification allows for may be encoded as MP2 but since only PAL region players are obligated to play MP2 audio tracks and AC3 is a superior codec, it is rarely if ever seen outside of amateur productions.

Secondly, DVD and Bluray can have lossless audio tracks. DVD permits LPCM audio which is lossless. Bluray in addition permits Dolby True HD, and DTS-HD which are also lossless codecs.

It is entirely at the discretion of the producer whether or not to include a lossless isolated track.

Unfortunately, Legend - Tangerine Dream - Isolated DVD Score is not all there. Have been working on this one for a few years crawling over the net looking for bits and pieces. Notice the Isolated score stops at a certain point in the film. Opening scene (Forest) music plays into (Darkness lair) and fades into vocal humming, which could be sound design. This piece of music (sign design) is not included on Isolated score). I used vocal remove to acquire this sound. Also within the scene is a brief Unicorn cue, again not on isolated track, which I captured.

When Lily approaches house, enters looks around, this cue is not isolated. Again, I use vocal remove. Could go on like this. Some sections are isolated, others are not. I spent many hours going through disc working to locate and find cues. Another example, Jack shows Lily unicorns, cues here come and go. After Lily touches unicorn, Jack goes off. Lily follows, finds him and very nice cue kicks in, which is not isolated.

This is interesting, during Darkness and Lily scene (when Darkness comes through mirror), music on isolated score, is not the music if you play the disc without isolated score on. Very interesting here. It is after this sequence, there is no more isolated score as film continues with musical cues...

This is the musical score presented as a separate audio track on the DVD. I've tried to identify the tracks and name them according to the official release, but it is not the "same" as the commercial release. And yes, there are tracks here not on the commercial release. However, if they haven't been available previously, i cannot say. There might be someone else out there that also has ripped this DVD release.

From what I heard, the LLL release has everything from the movie, including sound effects, hits, stingers and etc.

The significant difference between the LLL release and the Blu-Ray release is that...

LLL
16 bit depth
44.1 Khz
2.0

Blu-Ray
24 bit depth
48Khz
5.1 discreet surround sound

By the by... what was the method of extracting and converting the audio from said rips?
What software did you use?

Also, I have to offer Rush Hour 1 isolated score with commentary from Lalo Schifrin. It needs a lot of work though.
Also I used to have The Corruptor (Carter Burwell) on DVD but it got badly damaged. I need to replace it. The blu-ray doesn't offer an isolated score anymore.

Yes, the original audio stream for the isolated score of BTILC was DTS 5.1. The software used for ripping those audio streams: DVDs - DVD Decrypter, BluRays - tsMuxer (with the help of AnyDVD HD). Since i don't have that much experience in editing surround waves, i converted the streams to stereo. Any Dolby Digital - Headac3he, Dolby TrueHD - eac3to with the eac3to more GUI (only one isolated score with TrueHD - Elfman's Charlie and the Chocolate Factory), when it comes to DTS i'll be darned if i can remember what software i used, since i reinstalled Windows a couple of months ago and don't have all the progs installed yet. I think it was BeSweet with BeSweet GUI, but don't quote me on that. (making mental note: try and learn to make multichannel rips).
Rush Hour 1 would be interesting :) if nothing else, i would be interested in the ripped audio stream. Unfortunately, The Corruptor is not one of the isolated score streams i have access to.

I don't know the interest any of you would have in surround rips of these. The total size of the files would be much bigger and you would need a surround set to be able to enjoy it. I know FLAC supports it (i've made rips of the LotR surround discs and converted to flac and it plays just fine). Anyway, what i will be offering from the start is stereo rips of what i have.

May i enquire what might be the difference between the isolated score to Big Trouble in Little China and the LaLalaland release? - I am not sure if the LLL release was actually missing anything at all, but would be nice to see if the Isolated score is.... Different! Cheers!

As sparktank said, the major difference is that the sound is in DTS 5.1 (which i'm not capable to edit at the moment, future project though). The differences in tracks is mainly that some tracks on the La-La Land release are split in the rip and some tracks are a bit more different. Those are: Looking for a Girl, Goodbye Jack and Big Trouble in Little China. The La-La Land release also have the track Stingers Montage in addition.

Actually you can open both AVI with AC3 and MKV with AC3/DTS straight in audiocity, it will recognize audio format without the need of audiotrack separation

Sorry that is Audacity 1.3 Beta of course, not audiocity

Ok, next upload is Papillon (tried downloading and unpacking it). There is an original CD release of this that you might want to find. Check it out here:

Papillon- Soundtrack details - SoundtrackCollector.com (http://www.soundtrackcollector.com/title/2246/Papillon)

It's the Universal France 15 track release and clocks in at 46 minutes 18 seconds. It has some of the tracks with a slightly different arrangement. Also there are two tracks there not present in this isolated score. The main reason for that is that they weren't in the isolated score ;) so, for you completionists out there i suggest you try and find that release. The two tracks are:

Papillon Theme (Short version) (01:45)
Toi Qui Regarde La Mer (performed by Nicoletta) (03:13)

What this rip has extra are 4 source cues, so if you want it all... This might make a nice 2CD set. With that said, here's the isolated score:

Unfortunately, Legend - Tangerine Dream - Isolated DVD Score is not all there.

I believe this is only the music from the CD played from start to end, plus an extra track at the beginning and minus the songs. It's not an isolated score as such, in that the music plays at the correct time and place in the film, but it's still a separate audio track with the music and it will be as such i present it here. If you want better quality music, get the official CD and then add the first track from this (or anyone elses) rip :)

I actually bought the BluRay of this movie not long ago, but it says nothing about an isolated score on the back cover. Naturally i had to put it in my BluRay-player and check for myself. And what do you know... it HAD the menu choice of an isolated score in the special features. I didn't even know it was there :) I will look in to this some more when i get the time. Thanks for the heads up.

I have the CD, plus an expanded score (with forest sounds included) I located on the net. Have gone through DVD using vocal remove spotting various little cues here and there. I've noted 30 cues.

Example: Cue 4. Use - section (3 a) I copied from dvd using Vocal Remove. This cue is not on dvd isolated score. Name this cue: Darkness Speaks of Unicorn. Re-do this cue on dvd: 00:05:14:41 to 00:05:16:71.

In capturing cues, they are not something anyone this board would want. But for me, they are better than having nothing, or so called 'Complete' scores, (limited edition, "20th Anniversary Edition") which does not have music as heard in the film.

Can post the cues here as I spotted them with notations as I did with the example cue 4, that would bore you to sleep...

And here they are, all 4 different isolated scores from Alien by Jerry Goldsmith. Don't ask me WHY they differ between the DVD and the BluRay because i just don't know. Perhaps someone else can shed some light there? What i do know is that they ARE different and that some tracks on the isolated DVD version is not present in the BluRay version due to licensing issues (track 13 in the Theatrical DVD version for example - End Titles (Symphony No.2 (romantic) Howard Hanson))

In order not to make the posts too large, i've split this to 2 posts, the isolated BluRay rip coming later.

Ok, i'm back with a new isolated score. This time it's Danny Elfman's Red Dragon. Using this and the official release, i think i have managed to piece it together as complete as possible. I hope you enjoy:

I have the recording sessions, OST and Bluray isolated score and all I can say is, it's not complete. Some stuff is only available in the film version mix on the isolated score, and Elfman talks over those cues. I think one was where the museum is introduced, the one Dolarhyde visits.

Perhaps i wasn't clear enough :) whereever Elfman talks i used the official release to try and repair it. I didn't mean i used entire tracks. And when i say complete, i mean complete isolated score. Not complete as in "i have tried to find every piece of music related to this". This is in fact the name of the thread - Isolated Scores. And don't take this as criticism, i am just trying to explain where i'm taking this thread.

I've started updating all the upload links and will continue to do so during the evening. Trying the 2 nikitos suggested: Jumbofiles - can host larger files, but slow. Zippyshare - much faster, but has a file size limit of 200 mb.

Anyway, keep your eyes open for the new links :)

Usually I dl from jumbofiles about 1,4 MB/s. Isn't slow, I think ;)

My friend use this gamefront.com or sendspace.com is much better

Another thing is that use a multiupload service that you can upload your file to 9 different free file hosts

Mirrorcreator - Upload files to multiple hosts (http://www.mirrorcreator.com/)
Upload Mirrors - Easy file upload to multiple free file hosts (http://uploadmirrors.com/)
CreateMirror.com - Upload Files To Multiple File Hosting & Sharing Websites (http://www.createmirror.com/)

Okay, the good news is PEEJE us back to working. I just got an e-mail from peeje stating that they had just completed updating their servers, so I guess that's was the problem was over the last few days.

The bad news is - I haven't been able to get JUMBOFILES to work for me over the last few days either, and that trend persist. Istead of ever going to the actual download pop-up, I get an internet error page. When I try to diagnose the problem it says "dns server not responding". Is anyone else having this issue with jumbofiles, or does anyone know why I am and how to solve it?

Actually. Their DVD section is quite limited in IS's.

Better results doing a google search for IS's.

https://www.google.ca/search?num=100&hl=en&newwindow=1&safe=off&site=&source=hp&q=%22isolated+score%22+site%3Ascreenarchives.com&oq=%22isolated+score%22+site%3Ascreenarchives.com&aq=f&aqi=&aql=&gs_l=hp.3...2598.7176.0.7740.25.24.1.0.0.0.171.179 9.16j8.24.0...0.0.GddsvDj3_PQ

PLEASE RE-UP Alien Isolated BluRay, Theatrical Score, Size: 236.61 MB.

By the way: fantastic job...

Jumbofiles - lines are too busy right now
peeje - "All download slots for this file are currently filled. Please try again momentarily."

This doesn't mean the links don't work, just that there is too much traffic to these FREE servers at the moment.

The rest of what i'm saying is directed to all of you out there:

I wish people could be a little more specific than just saying "Re-up. Links don't work". Haven't you been able to download the files for at least a couple of days? It's no wonder the links don't work during the most traffic heavy days and hours (weekends and daytime/evening Europe/USA).
If you can tell me in 2 or 3 days that the links haven't worked at all during that time, i will be happy to re-upload or fix the links, but for now you will just have to wait. Remember, this is not me hosting the files but free servers. You get what you pay for and i'm not prepared to pay for the pleasure of making these files available. If anyone can find a more reliable alternative than the ones i'm using, please do tell and i will use it right away.

edit: For everyone's information. I just uploaded a new file at peeje and i haven't even shared the link, but it still says "All download slots for this file are currently filled. Please try again momentarily."

edit 2: Just tried the links for Alien isolated bluray theatrical and can confirm they do work...

People will interpret anything other than "here is the file RIGHT NOW" as the oncoming zombie apocalypse. Either that or they can't read. Or they're ungrateful and impatient. Usually all of the above.

I too desire more clarity with regard to "links don't work" - there's a big difference between "file host has died / file has been deleted for copyright claim" and "file host says come back a bit later" - I think folk believe we're piracy automatons who live our lives to buy CDs and spend 24 hours-a-day uploading and reuploading to a thousand different file hosts so that Mr "I MUST HAS THIS SCOAR NAO OR I IS DYE!" can save himself a short wait...

Also, why do people say "links broke" when what they mean is "I'm terribly sorry to trouble you, but the links you graciously provided aren't working any more - if you're able, I'd really appreciate it if you were to upload the score again. Thank you in advance!"

Posts that make my blood boil:

"Link dead." -- Yes, and?
"Reup plz." -- A post with no English words whatsoever.
"OH NOES HALP I CANT GET IT!" -- Shame.
"You suck. Links are dead. Fuck you, asshole." - You too, buddy. Definitely not re-uploading NOW!

People are so bloody rude. Particularly considering they're getting something for nothing...

Or is that just the way things are nowadays, and I'm an old fart for expecting a bit of courtesy once in a while?

Oh, well... :)

Hey Calidoran, would it be possible for you to upload The Mummy by Jerry Goldsmith? Cheers!

Also, with the new Blu Ray releases of the Bond 50th anniversary films, I'm hoping that these isolated scores will become available soon! Some of the music has never been released!

Some people have asked me the differences between the Matrix isolated score and the Varese release. Instead of sending lots of answers (well, a couple at least ;) , here goes:

First - This is an isolated score with composer's commentaries, so i had to fix that as best i could. Davis' voice carries over into some tracks.

Second - Of course, there aren't any of the songs on the Varese release but they are present here as they are a part of the film. And these are the songs that really appear in the film and not all of those present on the song album.

Third - Tracks with longer mixes than the Varese:
101. Main Title & Trinity Infinity 06:34
Trinity Infinity 03:51

114. The Truth 03:55
Nascent Nauseous Neo 02:06

120. The Jump Program 01:24
Shake, Borrow, Switch 00:35

122. Lady in Red (Clubbed to Death) (Rob D) 02:31
Freeze Face 01:50

207. Trapped in the Building 06:07
Threat Mix 05:26

208. Morpheus Captured 02:48
Exit Mr. Hat 01:18

210. Smith's Monologue 02:03
Mix the Art 01:28

219. Ontological Shock 04:15
Ontological Shock 03:31

Fourth - New score tracks:
103. Knock, Knock Neo 00:28
104. Follow the White Rabbit 00:11
107. In Their Custody 00:45
121. Bringing Neo Dinner 00:30
201. De-Cyphering The Matrix 02:46
212. A Virus 01:25
213. I Hate This Place 00:55
214. Entering the Lobby 00:54
218. Learning to Fly 00:42

Plus as i mentioned, all the songs used in the film. They mix in with the Davis' score and more often than not he has made his own intros or outros to them.

Lord of Illusions... A score by Simon Boswell (including some songs by other artists). Had to include a lower quality version of Boswell's own contribution in the songs department - Imagination - since i couldn't find that song in lossless anywhere. If anyone does have access to it, please let me know :) What can you say about this score otherwise? It's not an easy listen, but then again, it's not an easy film. The score itself is nevertheless really good and recommended. Compared to the Perseverance release (which is excellent btw) this has some extra score to it plus the songs. Should you want those, there was an earlier release by Mute that had them included. Check the info here:

No, but my post has nothing to do with how it sounds. "Isolated Score" is something very specific, it is not a rip of any kind.

Okay, Bishtyboshty, let me set an example here. I take my time to work on my albums. i.e. - Ferris Bueller's Day Off. That has been sitting on my shelf for years and now, i finally decide to share my work.

Another user who takes his time and effort into his things is EmpireSB. He's doing a magnificent job with Beauty and the Beast. Everybody needs to learn that a lot of these DVD's with/without isolated scores take time to rip. The one's without take a LOT of time to edit to get something every close to an isolated score.

So basically, You're just throwing stuff in my face here. That's all I'm going to post on here.

Look, I've no argument against you sharing your rip's; only against your calling them Isolated Scores. They are not, and neither are they FYC releases. They are rips.

Alternatively there is no point in calling the thread "Isolated Scores" as there would be no difference between them and anything else.

It's not a question of effort made.

As bishty says, isolated score is something very specific - namely when a laser disc, DVD or BluRay (or what have you) has the music as a separate audio track on the disc. Read my first post - "this thread will only be about isolated scores and not rips of the front or rear or any channels with sfx and/or speech. Those are NOT isolated scores but "simply" something where someone has tried isolating the music from the speech and SFX"
I'm not in anyway degrading anyone's work as i KNOW how time consuming one of those rips can be. I have been in the process of doing two myself and they never seem to be done. Anyway, this was a thread i started for those interested in my isolated scores (which in themselves consumes a lot of time), so i would appreciate it if all of you kept your work or links to your work in your own threads, or at least ask me if it's ok to post about those in my thread, ok? :)
With that said, i will try to get another upload running later tonight...

And now for something completely different... After two isolated scores that are very good, but perhaps not so easy to listen to for some - a walk down the lighter side of music. The isolated score (together with some shorter versions of songs and some source music) from "You've got mail" by George Fenton.

Since the latest release of this was by Varese, I cannot share any links, publicly or privately. I hope you understand that i don't want to risk a ban. I will leave the info for it though, for "educational" purposes.

Here's an isolated score i didn't even know i had. I wanted the first X-Files movie on BluRay (Fight the Future, which in my opinion is a better movie) and when i found it at the store for a reasonable price, i bought it. When the weekend came and i was about to watch it, i discovered that i had bought this one instead... and then disappointment set in ;) Anyway, someone here at these forums asked for the isolated score to this one. As far as i knew, my version of it didn't have one. It didn't say so on the back cover at least. However, i decided to put the disc in the player to check what extras it had and what do you know... it HAD an isolated score and now i present it to you.

This was a weird isolated score. It was and it wasn't isolated. It clearly said in the disc menu that it was isolated, but it turned out it had small SFX here and there. Mostly footsteps and such and i have tried removing them as best i could, but they are present on some occasions.

can you make an isolated score from csi miami???

Read my first post on what an isolated score is. *I* don't make isolated scores, it's the publishers of the Laser Disc/DVD/BluRay that do. I'm assuming you mean a rip of front and/or rear channels, but that's not an isolated score. Even if i could make a rip like that, it wouldn't belong in this thread. Sorry

I don't think he can, but that raises an interesting question : I never heard of a DVD or BR of a TV Show with an isolated score, does anybody know if that exists ?

I have two, actually: Space 1999 and Red Dwarf. Both will be uploaded and presented here, but i'm not giving any promises as to when...

Come to think of it, i believe Caprica also has isolated scores. And of course the Twilight Zone from the 50s and 60s.

Yet another great score: Contact by Alan Silvestri. I've added 2 extra tracks compared to the isolated score (which includes source music) and that is the first and the last file. I borrowed the idea from another rip of this so i take no credit for them. They're called Soundwaves Through Time, and those of you that have seen the film, know what i mean with that title. The first track is in stereo and the last is in surround for those of you that can enjoy that. It gives it another dimension i think ;) Enjoy, Like and Boost my rep, please.

Tracklisting:1. Soundwaves Through Time (see txt-file) (source) (2:17)
2. Life Out There (1:20)
3. Awful Waste of Space (1:45)

The ripoff times high priced bluray of As good as it gets is barebones, unfortunately there will be no isolated score with but, hey atleast you get a super cool magnate and a booklet that as they put it has a even cooler cover than the bluray cover art

How can you tell if a DVD or bluray has an isolated score track?

It usually states so on the back cover. If you go online, the sellers might have that feature listed. Otherwise there are some sites that keeps listings of this.

rewind @ dvdcompare.net - the home of dvd & blu-ray comparisons (http://www.dvdcompare.net/)
this one lists all features, even those that aren't officially listed

KQEK.com - Isolated Scores on DVD & Laserdisc (http://www.kqek.com/isolated_scores/Isolated_Scores.htm)
this one lists a lot of isolated score on Laser Disc, DVD and BluRay. Don't know how up to date it is though...

Official Listing of Isolated Score tracks on Blu-ray - Blu-ray Forum (http://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread.php?t=133653)
This one lists isolated scores on BluRay. Again, don't know how up to date it is.

DVD Isolated Score List (http://www.treuherz.de/ralf/scores/dvdlist.htm)
And another one, not up to date.

Should you people have any interesting links regarding this - post them and i will put them all in the first post for anyone to see in an easy way :)

But to answer the original question: Check the back cover. Check the sites i listed (and hopefully others posted as well). The question on how to find it on the disc is open. It might be listed under the special features, it might be listed under the different speech alternatives and in some cases, it might not be listed at all as in Goldsmith's The Mummy.

It's just a game that is plyed, for the hell of it. Very little actual rep is ever given to uploaders here in the DL section. At one time we were able to give negative rep. But yea, upstairs they rep freely, mostly for fun. Doesn't mean anything at all.

Despite how slow the Alien movies are, I'm finally making my way through the series and so far Aliens is my favorite. You simply can't go wrong with Cameron. However, I like H.R. Giger's original alien design than any of the others.

Time for another Danny Elfman score - Beetlejuice. I gave this one a complete workover since i wasn't quite happy with my first attempt. I have to confess: I have big problems connecting to a score of a movie i don't enjoy. And this is a movie... let's say i could enjoy it as an action movie, but as a part of the Alien saga? Nope. Sorry. But for the sake of completion - here it is: The isolated BluRay score of Alien Resurrection by John Frizzell. Nope. What i have is the old Korngold score from waaaay back :) Robin Hood Prince of Thieves is (and i quote): "Disc 2 features commercial album of Michael Kamen's score mixed to Dolby 5.1." So basically just a surround mix of what's already officially released.

You can say what you will about the music for Assault on Precinct 13, but syntesized, minimalistic and effective are the words that comes to mind for me. As always John Carpenter's music (in collaboration with others) works very well in the movies. The isolated scores i have of him are this one and Big Trouble in Little China. I will put them both up even if BTILC doesn't add much to what's already officially released.

In the meanwhile: Enjoy this one and feel free to "Like" and perhaps boost my rep ;) i know it doesn't mean anything much to many people out there, but it does to me :)

There is a technical chance, but as it's not an isolated score in technical terms it will not appear here (check my first post on the definition of what an isolated score is). I might get around to trying to isolate the music from speech/sfx though and make a new thread in that case. I'll let everyone know when i have checked the bluray...

you might want to check with that user. Fright Night on BluRay isn't released here yet and ordering it on Internet costs a bunch with the shipping so i'm not going there... sorry

Edit: The price for it on Amazon - $159.99. So even if they sent it without cost for the shipping... no.

And now... for one of my favorite movies - Stand by Me. The isolated DVD Score contains some score tracks by Jack Nitzsche (basically variations on Ben E. King's Stand by Me) and the rest is songs from the era. In the isolated track, these songs are incomplete so i have instead used the official soundtrack release for most of them and the others i have found here and there in flac format. As a bonus, i have included the music from the Pie Eating Contest scene. Those of you that have seen the film know which one i mean ;) Enjoy!

And hey... if you haven't seen the film, do so :)

Patience my friends, it has been done. We're in the process of sorting out the new artwork. I did the 25th anniversary (http://theinfernomusicvault.blogspot.co.uk/2011/10/fright-night-1985-25th-anniversary.html) that was released last Halloween which had 10 new tracks. The new isolated score which I call 'The Final Cut' contain these with 6 additional tracks making 31 tracks. All previous additionals such as songs and commentaries will be a part of this new improved album, it will be out soon so sit tight

Either there is or there isn't an isolated score. You can't create one afterwards, that's not an isolated score but a fanrip of either the front or the rear channels. Read the first post for a better definition of it :)

James Horner... This is IMHO one of his finest. The themes in this one are great and some are truly beautiful. Just don't expect anything action-like. And FYI, there are some incomplete songs on this one that i have replaced with a comlete version instead. One complaint some people might have against Horner is his re-cycling. He has done so in this score as well. I have found a very similar version of the track The Wedding in another score where that track even had the same title. Can't remember which right now. I'll search for it. In any case, neither of that makes this score any less great or beautiful. My recommendation - Get it :) and enjoy!

Edit: Wrong of me... It was the track The Wedding from the score Deep Impact. Have a listen to the first 20 seconds. That piano piece is heard throughout the Bicentennial Man score and he actually did Deep Impact before (1998) he did Bicentennial Man (1999). But i knew i recognized it... ;)

Edit 2: I'm actually kind of regretting including the songs in my rip. They don't quite fit the rest of the music (except for the classical pieces). Ah well... they're there and if you don't like them, i'll let you in on a little secret:You can remove them ;)

Edit 3: Added a cover at the bottom of the post
