It's been a while since I first made a version of The Warriors soundtrack: Thread 50045
& I wanted to take the time to arrange it differently, extend some tracks, add some new ones, and also make it available again since MegaUpload went belly-up.

Maybe most importantly, too, to actually remaster the audio and make it sound better.

Please note, too, that most of the music from the game is at a lower sample rate than 44.1 kHz, which is the standard for audio CDs. I tried to do my best to make the audio available sound the best it can, but I can't restore frequencies that aren't there, so much of the audio has a frequency cut-off around 15 kHz (from 30 kHz files).
Also, I'm not exactly intending for this to be some sort of "definitive" soundtrack or anything, just my interpretation of how I'd like to listen to it. Since the game has over 7 hours of music with a lot of repeated themes and slight variations, I'll be leaving out a lot of the repetitive stuff.

The three volumes, past, present, and future, represent the time periods in the story.
"Past" is the flashback levels before the main story,
"Present" is the main story,
and "Future" is the same time as the movie (Walter Hill originally wanted a subtitle to the movie to say "Sometime in the future", lol).
I'll also have a volume or two of other music, including the "Armies of the night" side-scrolling adventure!

The rest of the project should be here within the next week or so.

Music composed by Steve Donohoe and performed by Neveroddoreven.

It's cool to see you doing this again.

One thing I've noticed is that the Satan's Mothers track seems to be missing one of the variations when you're trying to sneak past them.

Oh, and could you tell me how you're ripping the tracks?

There`s conversion of HCS rip (Thread 95092) posted already which has so many variations that you`re going to be exhausted after non-stop listening through all of them. OP there decided to loop it, add fade-outs and convert it to OGG though but I believe that you can go get it from HCS yourself and edit & convert it the way you want.

Thanks JBTND. 354 tracks? Holy crap.

I don't think I'll be exhausted any time soon once I download that, though.

Yes, after rather messily ripping it myself, someone posted on bt.hcs64.com (http://bt.hcs64.com/) a neater complete rip, but it's not there any more. Users get removed from there after a month of inactivity D:

What I'm doing here is arranging them into neater songs, rather than the individual loops from the game itself.

Oh, DoDoRay9000, sometimes I leave out pieces if the edits would be awkward and they don't really fit in the whole. (i.e. switching from rock drums to the *boom tisk boom tisk* of the synth drums). I'll probably include in further volumes sort of "alternate" tracks with those pieces that I didn't use before.

It`s a result of torrents being removed from there after a month of inactivity too. That`s really weird that HCS himself found it out from an accidental question asked on their forums. Don`t really know if they got rid of that silly system as HCS himself called it. And an account shouldn`t be deleted even if its owner is gone for longer than month but has previously notified tracker staff of his absence, I believe that rule is forwarded to people who get 1 rip and never return to tracker.

Is anyone else being redirected to g-e-n-t-i-c h-a-x when they try to go to the main forum page?

Nvm, then. I can get to it fine now. Jessie told me the site was hacked earlier and that was probably why.

Disk 3 part 1 just uploaded to the same MediaFire folder.

Maybe a little more explanation for why I'm doing things the way I am:
While I'm mostly mixing things the same way from the earlier version, I'm trying to make each part as close to 25 minutes as possible without going over, sort of like a side of an LP. Once I realized disk one (flashback levels) sort of accidentally fit this scheme, I figured 1 LP for "past", 2 LPs for "present", and 1 LP for "future", with another volume or two for alternate mixes, repeated themes that didn't fit before, the licensed music, and the Armies of the Night game-within-a-game.

I've added the original rip from hcs to my thread. (Thread 95092) Hope it helps your project. Remember, you need vgmstream to enjoy. Just load the WMUS and GENH files, the WHED are only headers.

Yeah, I already have that. As I said in PM, I haven't done much on this mostly because I sort of forgot about it.
