I have quality upgrades for most... but to be honest I'm not entirely happy about re-uploading yet. I think it would be prudent to hang about for a few weeks until the situation stabilises. See which hosts still exist, which ones look like they might be about to go south, which ones are defiant, which ones are worried, which ones are doing kneejerk mass purges, etc... We need to collect our thoughts and adjust our thinking. We cannot do that while the rest of the file-sharing ecosystem is in a state of constant flux.

I happily volunteer to help when things have settled down. My upload speed is slow but I can at least help. :)

Folks, i would like to cut all soundtracks that are available as Suites only into individual tracks
(cut were there is a pause of course and a new segment starts).
Normally when i cut something in Audacity i save it as a new FLAC and then use
Switch Audio Converter to convert it back into 320. It sufficient for my own purpose but it
might not be for you. How do want me to do it?

Not meaning to be an ass, but there is no such thing as Windows Lossless Format; what you're posting is WAV... which, as we have discussed before, is a gigantic waste of space. ;)

Super-speed internet connections (which SOME people are blessed with, but most are NOT) and almost limitless hard disc space are no excuses for deliberately bloating uploads. I have to count my bytes and pick my downloads carefully; time and time again I am having to pass up yours because I cannot justify downloading 150mb of blank space...

They are at TrekCore. But they're in MP3. Maybe if somebody asks me really, really nicely and puts a cherry on top, I'll put up one of those in lossless.

http://www.peeje.com/files/359055990/horizon_ENTERPRISE.mp3.html
Here's the "Horizon" suite again; as mentioned in the previous and now defunct Trek scores thread, originally McKenzie put this suite up on his site, but Paramount jumped on him and he had to taked it down. Then sometime later (I don't recall now, think it was like a couple weeks later) he puts up seperate cues. What makes his suite so special, Paramount's bitch was "unreleased" music, but the individule cues contained even more unreleased music than the suite. The suite still contains some smalls bits NOT in those individule cues.
He put it up in MP3, so that's all I got:

If you remember his file naming scheme, thoes could be easily found via filetram, filestube or
filecrop. Some uploader call their uploads JG_1973 ... So you just look up what Jerry Goldsmith
composed in 1973 and you know the score you are getting. Also Filesize is a nice indication if its FLAC

Hey, I'm not sure whether I should be asking for it here or asking again in William Taylor's old Star Trek thread, but I'd like to know if the Star Trek music I'm looking for exists on any releases out there. The episode in question is Star Trek: TNG season 6, episode 21, "Frame of Mind". Frame of Mind (Star Trek: The Next Generation) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Frame_of_Mind_%28Star_Trek:_The_Next_Generation%29 ) There's just way too much Star Trek music to sort through for me to go around guessing, and I just wanted to know if there were any Trek music aficionados who could tell me whether the music I seek has ever been released.

Thanks for any help!

"Frame of Mind" never had a commercial release I'm aware of. I don't know if anyone on the other thread has a DVD rip available or not.... Hadn't thought about the Ron Jones set, but I'm not familiar with it, either. Now that I think about it, though, I think Jay Chattaway scored that episode, so the RJ set wouldn't matter, anyhow.

I do not think the smaller older albums caontain it, but the Ron Jones set is quite large, and I am not overly familiar with it. Same for the recent LLL release .

It is jay Chattaway, so won't be on the Ron Jones set.

It was not part of the Star Trek - The Complete Episode Scores Project (OST) blog either.

Can always check IMDB.com for composer listings for Trek, if unsure. Episode page:
"Star Trek: The Next Generation" Frame of Mind (1993) (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0708718/combined)

They only Chattaway score that leaked, was a fan who recieved a copy of "Scopion", as he told once online, from the composer, but pakced up to move and didn't protect the CD, only to find out later he was crushedin half during the move.

THE HORROR. THE HORROR.

If it had been mine, it would have been a pampered baby.

As a rule of thumb I try to NOT ask composers for even one thing when I do an interview with them, but I broke that rule to ask, as I recall, about that particular score, when I interviewed Chattaway, but never recieved a reply.

Not anytime soon. One reason, the main reason, they are gone is that most have been deleted by rapidshare due to inactivity. That means no one has downloaded any of them in a month. I will have to repack everything and re-up, with mirrors, to somewhere other than RS. That will take a bit of time and dedication - many files will have to be split--and I am busy doing other things. Since it appears this was not a very active thread, I had put them on the back burner for now, as it seems I took on too much to keep up with.

Ok. Well. I posted big threads for the Enterprise and Next Gen promos elsewhere. I dunno if those still work. I would be willing to reconsider doing this. Many of the links once posted are moot. For instance the Motion picture boots can now be replaced with the official complete set. A couple of things though. I only keep the film score disc of the sets. The "alternates" and album reissue discs disc 2 usually) I dump. So if these newer sets are going to get full posts, I'll need help with the bits I deleted. I cannot do flac. For one, the only ones I own are the FSM sets that are not allowed. For two, flac files are larger than the free hosts allow without splitting, which is causing problems.

Which brings up issue 3.Many links like this are getting deleted as soon as posted, which to me suggests a snitch, so I am wondering if putting a mega thread like this back together again is even feasible? And, I am in the middle of a move. After tonight, I will be off-line until the weekend, so cannot see any of the responses until then, let alone start. IF the links for the Enterprise and Next Gen promos still work, we may be able to have mods merge those into this? Dunno. Thoughts anyone?

PS.

Anyone popping in here hoping to find the new Generations, sorry. I have not seen that posted anywhere yet. Though surely it is only a matter of time.

The New Generations set was not out at the time, so is not there. Also, a couple of the movies are Varese, which is a label we are not allowed to post, so those are not on there either.
