Thanks for this brilliant score of this historical drama TV series from mainland China. I wish we had more opportunities to enjoy the beauty and mastery of some of these works of modern Chinese culture. Unfortunately that isn’t really the case for most of us in the western world.

Splendid, thank you Frank for this 2009 TV series score. And Hans, I heartily concur – I’ve just returned from three months in northern China and been to many orchestral concerts there in Tianjin and Beijing. It’s a pity they are rarely broadcast here in the West.

I’m not sure there was ever an official release for ‘Three Kingdoms’. But you can find some of the tracks here:

I think it is a rip, and only mp3 128. Still, better than nothing.

Anyhow; just realized you may not be talking about the TV series and the score composed by Zhao Jiping, but the movie of the same title (at least in English) that came out around that time. The composer for that score is Henry Lai, and there’s a Hong Kong release (Java Records). Check here for more info:
