No one wanted YouTube ads in the first place, dammit. Do they really think people will be dumb enough to buy their shitty subscription services to skip ads on "select videos"?
Sure, some technologically incompetent people will fall for their scam, but this move will in the end only increase AdBlock’s popularity.
I wonder if YouTube will start making ads unskippable now in order to promote their service. Though again, that’ll only encourage more AdBlock downloads.
