You know how people record games they’re playing and upload them to YouTube with capture devices and stuff?

Well I’d like to know how to do that.

I will mostly use it with a PS2. I have Windows Vista.

If anyone can help, thanks.

Well…. You can run a ROM and capture it with either the software or a webcam. Or just use a plain old camcorder.

Cheapest way is a Gamebridge (http://www.adaptec.com/en-US/support/Video/prod/AVC-1400/). They cost something like $10-20 US and get the job done. You can go the more expensive route and get a proper video capture card if you really want but I’d only do that if you’re serious about it. I was mildly interested in this myself for a while but quickly realized it was way too much effort to make something semi-decent. I’m rather glad that I didn’t shell out hundreds of dollars on equipment and software before hand.

Reviews that use that method look terrible and are mercilessly mocked by everyone. It’s a waste of time. If you want to capture footage from ROMs, you pretty much need to use recording software like fraps or cam-tasia.

A high speed camera would help… Though I’m unsure if there is a camera that can capture 60fps.

No matter how good your camera is, video taping a TV screen instead of capturing the feed directly is not the way to go about things. It will look and sound terrible.

If you wanna do it often buy a gadget especially for that purpose . I don’t know how they are called but I am a subscriber of this guy here
http://www.youtube.com/user/Zero9teen
and he often uses a special device which seperates the audio and video cable and records it or something.
I use a screen capture program .
if u finally do it and add a commentary send me a linky
