Xenoblade – Main Theme & Rearranged (Yasunori Mitsuda)

From the acclaimed composer to classic jRPGs Chrono Trigger and Xenogears, Yasunori Mitsuda’s latest music project comes in the form of the new Wii exclusive title, Xenoblades.

The release date is TBA, but the official website has launched and presents the game’s official main theme.

Famitsu confirmed that Yoko Shimomura is working on the game. I think it’s likely this is from her as well.

When I see "xeno" and yasunori mitsuda all I see is xenogears xD

Glad to see that’s Yoko Shimomura’s working on this game, when I first heard the music, I though it was Shimomura+Mitsuda on the same track ^^

2 posts above yours, it’s both. The track in the OP is not Mitsuda’s style at all. Yoko Shimomura is the main composer.

It won’t. The Xeno name was just put on there for marketing purposes. It was originally going to be released under the title Monado: Beginning of the World. It has no connection to Xenogears or Xenosaga beyond the Xeno name.

As for the song itself, I get a pretty strong Shimomura vibe from it. The melody is definitely her style, though Mitsuda might have some influences in the slower pacing and more orchestrated feel.

The site has been updated with the BGM #2 and #3. I’m requesting a link for the two of ’em. 😉

I just heard the wonderful vocals of Sarah �lainn in the fourth trailer for Xenoblade and I would just like to ask if anyone has that song already. I think it’s called "Beyond the Sky" (not sure though) and it is very beautiful and reminds me of Joanne Hoggs and the other vocalists great vocal work on Xenogears and the Xenosaga games. And also, requesting the BGM #2 and #3 as stated in the post above mine.
