WTF FFV: Reina or Lenna

I mean what the hell her name was Reina when they released it on ps1 and now on gameboy advance its Lenna…..I’m pissed. When they remake FF6 on gba are they going to rename Terra, Sherra? I think its messed up they swapped the name. Anyone on my side about this?

I’m playing an english version of the original FF5 (SNES) and she’s named Lenna in that so I’m used to it. Lenna just seems right to me. As for the other bit, Terra was Terra starting way back on SNES, Lenna was "Reina" only as far back as PS1, so Terra’s bound to stay the same (I know you meant it as a sarcastic example, but whatever)

Actually, if they were going to change Terra to anything, it would be Tina. That being her Japanese name and all…

Also, the PSX script for FFV was put together from a half completed script back in the days they were planning to bring the game to the US under the name "FF Extreme". From what I’ve heard, this script was only marginally better than the script for FFII (US) (ie fucking awful). I would say that any changes in the new version of FFV reflect a more accurate translation.

Not only is it out, I found a used copy. Go figure.

Hmm, I think I’ve seen both versions before. Doesn’t matter to me either way. Actually, I’m far more interested in the Butz/Bartz name issue, as well as Cara/Krile. I’ve always been a fan of "Butz," but Bartz seems to be what they go with lately. And I think I like Cara just a bit better than Krile for that name.

I’m really indifferent to the names. As long as I can tell who’s who then I’m happy.

I prefer "Lenna", myself.

I always refer to her as Reina. It’s become a habit. Reina sounds a little more celestial, and Lenna is just way too ordinary.

I picked reina,just cause it sounds better.

I choose Reain, becasue the version of FF5 I played (European Final Fantasy Anthology) she is called Reina. Lenna seems weird to me. I dont mind really tho, as I know who people are referring to when they say Lenna (Or Butz for Bartz, or Cara for Krile).
