Man, I’d waited for that disk to come out for years!! So enjoyed that movie but especially remembered how the music creeped me out. This is some fun stuff from way back when, when James Horner soundtracks seemed to be for random movies often not connected with the music at all. The actual Wolfen soundtrack used the Wolfen selections here, as well as music he’d written for a movie called The Hand, and possibly music from still other sources. And most of the Wolfen music on this disk also ended up in a movie called Star Trek II. [I still have no idea what movie the music he used in Gorky Park was written for but it just doesn’t fit Gorky Park at all (tho’ still a fine stand-alone listen)]. But here his compilation really worked. This is great fun and well worth hearing.
