Well, automatically thinking that the game will suck because you have to pay more for it… kinda makes you… not think that much. As holding up a server that cost tons and tons of money and employing people that have to be on there round the clock to help solve problems, 10-15 dollars a month doesn’t seem bad at all.

Anyways, back to the question, any version of Final Fantasy XI will be p2p (pay to play). Either it’s PC or PS2. Considering that the PC is more costly than the PS2 (almost a thousand vs a few hundred for the system and needed materials), it’s no different weither or not.

yep, he’s right. Although… I really hate ptp….

Look at Blizzard’s Battle.net: it has to hold just as much information with as many if not more players on at once… but you don’t have to pay to play on it… or even on Diablo II… there server’s have to store all the information as well… *sigh* in a perfect world there would be no ptp.

Basically Blizzard’s D2 side-server save isn’t exactly all complicated as say Ragnarok Online or Final Fantasy XI. There are more variables and more players playing in one given field at a time (out of 20 servers worlds instead of 8 players shoved in a smaller world).

If there was no P2P, everything would suck like Diablo 1… haha. XD

PC or Ps2 both have a $12.95 a month plus $1 a month for additional chars and $1 a month to play tetra master.

the money helps pay for there nice lag free servers so be kind and give them your money.
