who would win out of Sin and vegnagun

^^ Hi all, i was just wondering, having completed FFx-2 and being inside sin on FFX, who would win between both the final bosses of each of the games.

Personally, i think if vegnagun could activate that mega cannon that destroys all of spira in the bad ending, he could blow up the entire planet and sin with it.

On the other hand i think sin could use terra Graviton like in that 1 cutscene and suck vegnagun into space 😛

Well just wanted to get some thoughts.

Vegnagun’s sole pupose is to be powerfull enough to be able to destroy Sin, so this is a no brainer.

QFT. Vegnagun was originally designed by Bevelle to destroy Zanarkand though, was it not? It was only used against Sin at a later date in an attempt to destroy Sin

Yeah, Ultimate, you have it right. It was Maechen who talked about this. He said "Although Vegnagun was constructed during the Machina War, there is no record of it ever being used. One could argue that the coming of Sin made war a secondary concern. But the real reason was that Vegnagun was nothing short of a titanic failure. You see, it was quick to respond to hostility, but lacked the ability to discern friend from foe. A weapon that slaughters indiscriminately would be far too dangerous for actual use in combat. Incidentally, this is why Vegnagun was never considered as a measure to combat Sin."

Vegnagun was so dangerous that they just had to seal it away. As for whether or not it actually could beat Sin — I suppose it’s possible if it got up to full-power.

Oh, and moving to General Final Fantasy…

Letting Vegnagun fight against Sin would just be another Operation Mi’ihen. Even when Vegnagun would succeed in beating Sin (unlikely) there would still be Yu Yevon creating another Sin.

Excellent point. Like Rikku said, Vegnagun was "just a machina!" Only what Yuna and crew did — defeating Yu Yevon, had the power to finish of Sin for good.

In sin’s big-ass-ball-of-water form, I think Vegnagun could only serve to get Spira a little wet. In Sin’s fishy form, Veg could do some damage.

I think Sin would win because I consider Vegnagun to be a pointless overgrown church organ. Yes, its possible it could defeat sin, i will admit it has some power, but we are forgetting one vital thing. FFX-2 WAS SHIT!!!

It took the Hymn of the Fayth, the Ferenheit airship and the entire party of FFX attacking a WEAK spot to beat Sin.

It took JUST the Gullwings to bring down Vegnagun. No offense to Nooj and Gippal along with the Lablanc crew but they did shit.

Sin’s forcefield disintegrating troops and its Giga Gravitation are more impressive than anything Veg did.

Sin is nothing but the "armor" of Yu Yevon. Yevon would just summon another aeon and recreate Sin (that is the reason you kill off ur aeons in the end of FFX after all)

I love FFX-2 but I’m not sure who’d win. It’s like saying, "Who would win in a wrestling match, Lemmy or God?" If you answered either, you’re wrong, because Lemmy IS God.
