i personally liked the resident evil movies. and those are probably the only ones i liked. (mostly cause i love milla jovovich).

but i’m sure that games based on movies are the worst. here are my reasons.

1. they suck. you know the damn thing is rushed, so everything sucks. mostly gameplay. where jumping is the most ackward thing to do and running is probably not even built in. (/me mostly reffering to games like home alone for the snes and shit). they are just made so horrifically.

2. those that seem "ok" are really just mods to an already existing fantastical game. they just use the same engine and mechanics from other games. like age of empires II, (that crap star wars version) and splinter cell. (i think batman begins used the splinter cell engine. not sure. i could be stupid. i’m baseing it off trailers and previews)

and i think thats all my reasons. they just suck. i’d rather watch the super mario bros movie.

That is a damn good question. Props on a good thread. I voted movies suck worse, because I am a huge Resident Evil fan, and i think the two of the movies suck arse. Mortal Kombat, Mario, Doom, RE 1 and 2, Street Fighter all blow IMO.

i actually think the first mortal kombat was alright. obviously it can’t touch the games badassness. but i enjoy watching it. part 2 sucked though. 🙁

I didn’t think it was physicaly possable but video games based on movies both suck and blow.

As much as I like Milla Jovovich, I just…..despise game-based films.
