Which is better?

Which is better for you, Xenogears or Final Fantasy 7.

The reason I came up with this question is I recommended these 2 of the best games ever released on this earth to my friend.
He asked me which one is cooler but actually I couldn’t decide which one is better cause both of them are awesome.
I have been thinking about this for a long time, however I still can’t really tell my opinion here but i want to hear your opinions, am I selfish?

If I write my opininon here, i’ll be so long sorry besides as I wrote above I didn’t come to my conclustion.

One more thing, I really think they are the best RPG games ever released, this is not exaggeration man and I think you guys love them too.

In answer to your question: I have not played Xenogears. I do not believe it ever saw the light of day in Europe. So by default I’m going to have to answer Final Fantasy VII.

Haven’t played Xenogears? oh, it’s really sad to hear that.
I suggest you play it cause you love FF7, right? and I think Xenogears is cool as much as FF7, I can’t decide which one is better, I don’t even know if I can decide during my life.

Well, triple 7, I played the first few hours of FF7, found it fairly good, and got out Xenogears to give it a quick spin for a change of mood, and I’ve been hooked on it ever since. I havn’t played enough of either game to make any clear judgements, but I can say that Xenogears is my kind of game, with a great story that has lots of conspiracies, mysteries, amnesia, religious references, and a strong message. Plus the characters are soooo cool. Fei is awesome, Citan is mysterious, Elly is intriguing, they’re all so well crafted. Oh, and the battle system rocks. Sometimes it can be frustrating, like the hide-and-seek, but its all worth it. Xenogears is just plain coooool.

Yeah, I think the both games have got awesome stories and other great stuff, I mean their story don’t just go by themselves, but go with the whole system such as battle system as Ziggypop said.

If there wasn’t even one little thing which composes these games, they wouldn’t be this great, the existence of these games are miracle, they made history, man.

Come on, people say something here, if you have played these two great games!

Xenosaga.

I liked Final Fantasy VII and all, but Xenosaga had the better storyline in my opinion.

Unfortunately I haven’t played Xenosaga so can’t compare it.
I have been thinking Xenosaga is -watchin gmovie- type of game rather than playing, or does it actually include a lot of playbable parts?

Xenosaga has a lot more watching then playing.

It’s not so bad in Xenogears though.
