Thats right… sounds?

From old classics like Street Fighter 2 sounds to maybe newer games like I don’t know…. Half Life 2. I just want to collect sounds. I am guessing it probably easier to find older sounds.

I know that the old Mame archive used to have wav packs for games like zaxxon and berserk – you might want to try an emu site like zophar’s domain.

hope that helps – I once used a bunch of megaman sounds off of a sound test and recorded them onto a tape to make tape loops. [this was in 91 – I’m sure there’s an easier way nowadays]

Kinda building off this…

would anyone know where I would find a program [or better VST] that would allow me to replicate the VOX voice [Possible others, but thats the main one I’m after right now.] but with custom phrases [ala Text-To-Speech/Voice Synthesis]

Even if I could install it like a Windows voice [like Microsoft Sam] I’d be thrilled!

One last thing, Freeware is key! I have to donate plasma just to keep food in the house so I can’t afford to shell out $X hundred for anything!

Ideas? 😕

Well, many pc games come with sound effects in wave file, if you look through it’s files.

otherwise, it varries…some times you can find sound files in unrealted places. For example, I found a ton of Earthworm Jim sound effects in a windows theme pack. Allot of fan sites for certain series will get you sfx too.
