what’s your opinion on the ending of ff7?

The ending was very incomplete, what is all you peoples thoughts on the end?

I didn’t know what to think of it and I still don’t. I was in two minds the first time I finished it. One was "Yay, I finished." The other was "Ooh, pretty."

My sister thought it was ass. She wasn’t happy, haha.

Well, it was an incomplete finish to an incomplete game.
No point making the ending make sense if the rest of the game doesn’t.o_O

I felt a little dissapointed the first time I saw the ending FMV

If you ask me, it was an artistic stop, that’s all. Kind of like strange movies, like 2001, and Solaris. I liked it. I’m not one to scoff at something intresting just because it doesn’t fly like everything else.

I guess to me it has the artistic sense of ‘hearing the silent notes’, not the notes that make sound in a song.

I’m not really mad about this or feel like I missed out since this is not a very popular style anyways. I wouldn’t call it hackneyed in this genre. It was an experiment, just like the game itself.

Maybe you could extend on that a little bit?

I didn’t like it because holy tried to screw everyone over. I mean Aeris died for it and it didn’t help them, just tried to destroy them, pretty stupid if you ask me.

the ending sucked but the fight with sephrioth couldnt get any better

I was upset, but the new movie is gonna make things better.

Well , I was kind of confused by the ending, but I think the movie will clear up everything

To be honest I thought that holy got rid of the things it considered a threat including cloud and is party (except Red) and all the people on the planet. This was before I heard about any of the sequals. I hope the movie will help to clean confusion surrounding this.

I liked it alot, especially the part with Red XIII and his little babies.

I thought is was a great ending. However, I thought it would have been better if there were multiple endings:-
1) if you didn’t get Yuffie and Vincent during the game.
2) if you got just Yuffie, but not Vincent.
3) if you got just Vincent, but not Yuffie.
4) if you got both Yuffie and Vincent.

Yes there was supposed to be a different ending if you defeated Emerald and Ruby, but it didnt happen.
