Whats the game like now

I havent played FFX1 for quite awhile and I was just wondering if this game has gotten better or worse in the time I have been away (roughly 8 months) The reason for me asking being that I have heard the economy makes it almost impossible for a regular casual player to get good and have decent items,also is the grouping system still horrible cuz last time I played I was waiting for 1hr and up and I was only lvl 15. anyways any kind of input is welcomed

Inflation is the word, and it drives alot of people from even trying to obtain certain luxuries like Scorpion Harness and Haubergeon and stuff. It doesn’t mean you can’t have fun, after all, with enough determination you can still achieve those goals, only with some extra effort.

Bottom line is you need patience to play this game. If waiting for 1 hour to PT (even at level 15, yup) is one of your bigger concerns, ish probably best to stay away. :3

I only have enough money a month to afford one online game and WOW is my current game and I am enjoying it so I don’t really feel like cancelling my WoW accnt just to try out FFX1 again.

I remember one day waiting 7 hours for a party.. And i’m a 42 WHM. o.o I think it was just the day and the time of day since I have my days off during the week.

Infation really does make it hard to get those items you want bad, but i’m slowly getting there to making money again and I have LS members sending me materials for leathercrafting.

Basically your questioning the core of the game which really cannot be changed.

I never played before, how long does it take to level up?

Forever. Naw, I�m serious. When you begin the game, leveling is easy. Once you reach level 13, you�ll NEED a party to level up efficiently. And how hard is finding a party? If you ain�t a WHM, WAR, PLD, DRK, RNG, or BLM, the chances for getting in a party is very low. Not to mention that some people are assholes. Just recently, I asked someone to help me level up, and the bitch said she was doing the 1-1 mission for Windurst. Well, it so happens I was doing the same mission too. I told her, and she didn�t even reply. FFXI CAN GO TO HELL! If you get a good party, though, you can level up about 3 times a day. Trust me, leveling 3 times in 24 hours is SOMETHING.

I did the first 6 levels for my MNK in about 6 hours yesterday…

It took just as long today to do 7 and 8 ;_;

took me 1 month to get to level 30, so its not too bad, and im not talking about sitting there 24/7 you just need to know what your doing.
