What’s So Great About FF8…

Hey guys, I know ya’ll love FF8 (I hope) but I’m just wondering what you think makes it so goshdarn GREAT. For me, it’s practically everything from the music, to the characters, to the action, to the great graphics, the plot, etc.

Yup, everything in the game is great. The Graphics were great (for PSX, I know I know… FFXs’ graphics are better… but still… 😛 it beats FFIX to me). The music…. wow!! I own the OST, and I love it. I mean, Liberi Fatali is so wonderful!!! I also loved the battling system. At first (I didn’t listen to Quistis explain everything ^__^”) I didn’t know how to junction magic… so I was pretty screwed, but by the middle of the game I understood it all… and the battles are sooo easy. And the story…………….. that is the greatest story… ever. I mean, it’s perfect… *sigh* There was my thoughts… hehe

I just love everything about the game. But I choose the plot since it has the best plot in thr FF series.

Well I can’t choise just 1. All of the elements is what makes FF a great game. With great music, story, battles and graphics combined, is what makes FF8 great.

I love it all. VIII has the neatest Story (Love Story), neat characters, cool new Junction System and dope visuals. VIII is just so easy to love

Definatly the fact the characters look like people in real life though the Juntion system sucks.

lol, yeah Squall is a sexy, but seifer is BETTER!

I don’t know why the junctioning system isn’t up there. I liked the fact that if you had enough time, you could take your characterrs to the max relatively early in the game. But from that list, I have to agree with you all and say the plot is one of the best ot date in any FF game.

The character is soooo cool, expecially SEifer .:D

It was a good game and all but I don’t think it is a great game but it was a good game for all of those listed.

only thing i liked about the game were the graphics they were amazing on the psone…. i didn’t like the overall game tho

Hehe, same here…my friend’s like, Final Fantasy is like, one of the most craziest things ever. At my age, all the girls are gaga over NSync and makeup and 17 magazines, boys, etc. while I’m at home playing FF8 or surfing about it online.

the characters were the best thing about the game. there just so…great. also the music was exelent. so exelent in fact, that i downloaded every single one of them(took me forever but i DID IT!!). i would have bought the CD but i couldnt find it anywhere.

Usually I never choose graphics over plot…

But the plot in FF8 is so…American o_O

But Square fixed that with FF9, and from what i’ve heard FF10, so all is forgiven :).

thats the whole point of the character…but anyway i thought the music was great so i voted for that

I don’t I woudl go as far as to say it was great. But it kept me entertained for awhile. I didn’t like the leveling system on it. The whole Sucking Magic out of creatures deal constantly got annoying

For me I liked the whole game. It truly is one of my all-time favourite games. I liked it mostly coz of the realness and not using like cartoonish characters if you will like FF9.
I chose the graphics for that reason, but I also liked the rest. The only downer I could put on the game is the junction system which made you and the bosses too strong.

Well, one thing for sure, the grapichs is much better than FFVII.:o

But, The storyline is very boring and the battling too.:o

The music was the best. The graphics were good,but not as good as the music. Also,the battles were boring and the storyline was too.
I loved the music for FF8.:)

FF8’s one of those games you mature into

i disliked it when i first played it, but i was young then, and i grew into it, and now i love it as much as 7 which is my fave

the love story plot gets me

i didnt think it was that great (very good tho) but the only thing that really set it out from previous ff games was the improved graphics.
