Over the years and vary much just recently, I have noticed a huge steep decline of working links. I think it has to do something with some anti-copyright thing. Its like there is some internet police on every file sharing site. If they see a new video game OST going in there, with in just about 1 day; the link is already broken. Almost everywhere you turn, you see that new game ost and you want to download it. But 90% chance that the link is down. So it just makes me wonder, what is the point anymore? Mediafire, Rapidshare; are the one’s I have noticed with this "internet police" business. I think people should start uploading somewhere else for now, but I could be wrong on that. Your thoughts on this.

People will always upload it somewhere else, or have it on a torrent. Links not working right this second isn’t the end of the world.

Request for a re-up and move along. Unless they come over to FFshrine and shut it down entirely, there will always be links to your favorite music. Even if it takes a long time for them to go back up, in which case, theres a high chance that SOMEBODY ELSE has the same thing upped, possibly at better quality.

The ‘point’ is to stop being cheap and go buy it from a store instead of downloading what inevitably is a inferior copy.

Downloaders have to be more considerate of how hard it can be for uploaders to share their music. There are several limitations: the size of a file to be uploaded can be restricted, the size of the storage space for the uploaded files can be minimal and, especially, the length of time a file will be kept in storage can be only a month or so, which means the link will automatically go dead after that. People loved hosting sites like Megaupload because it had few restrictions and the links seemed to last forever. Most of the sites still around are not nearly as generous. Users can pay for upgraded service, like for more storage space, but even then the links will not be stored long before being deleted. Uploaders can keep track of what they have uploaded and re-upload before the expiration date rolls around, but that can be a lot of work if they have a lot of files. Trust me, uploaders are just as unhappy with the state of things as downloaders are!

I’m sorry, maybe I missed something. Where are your own shares and re-ups? No better way to get your requests ignored here than to be a pure leech. Share and you will make friends. I’m saying this from experience. I’m not the most prolific sharer, but I share what I can and appreciation comes back to you.
