What is the best file to split FLAC Cue files into individual tracks

After a major hard disk crash I have lost a load of music files and a lot of programs- I have salvaged a few FLAC cues which are huge and ungainly and want to split them into the individual tracks- Any suggestions for a freeware progame would be much appreciated

using cuetools. not using medieval – is causing breaking track or incomplete.

I don’t think mediaeval gets updated anymore. It’s not open-source. So no one can update it to fix the millions of bugs they have.
Development is abandonded. Last update was in 2011.

CUETools is open source. So even if original devs stop, someone else can continue.
IMHO, they should move their project to GitHub. Better feedback and general oranization over SourceForge.
Except, I have no idea what licence they’re using. They don’t list anywhere.

I like Mideival cue splitter

Mideival was nice as it was easy to use, but I have to recommend CUETools.

Mideival does this weird thing and breaks tracks incorrectly. If you happen to listen to the split tracks afterwards and they happen to be from a CD with tracks that blend into each other (e.g. something like DJ Tiesto), it would give clear signs that it’s missing a piece of the song (almost like a blip or skip between the tracks….very annoying for the CDs I mentioned)
