Weapon concept art

Wow, long time since I’ve posted here!
Anyway… To the point. I’ve been getting into 3D modeling recentlly and then using the models as wepaons in the PC game Morrowind.
My next project will hopefully be to convert some of the weapons from FF9 and CC into Morrowind (maybe from other games, but those two for now). The problem is, whereever I look I cannot find any concept art or images of the existing weapons.
I was wondering if anyone here could help point me in the direction of any so I can get started on my project (and once I’m more experienced I plan on making playable CC races for the game too… But thats gonna take a while).

The rare Japanese artbook FFIX Established File has some of the weapon concept artwork for the game, but unfortunately looking through it as I type this, it seems not for every weapon. For instance, it shows the artwork for Zidane’s daggers, but not the pole arms like Masamune and Ultima Weapon for some reason……

Although I’ve never read it, the US book The Art of FFIX has the same artwork featured in Established File, so searching around game stores for a copy may be your best bet.

If worse came to worst, I guess I could scan the Established File images for you, but as that would be voiding copyright I don’t really want to do that if I can help it…

Any ideas what weapons are actually featured? I was hoping to get a few of each characters (daggers, swords, staffs etc..)

As the text in Established File is nearly entirely in Japanese I’m unsure about some of them, but some I do know:

Thinking about it, there is no real reason why I couldn’t scan the images, seeing as how the images would only be for your own enjoyment, so if you want them, I can scan them straight away. PM me if you’re interested.

I cant find excalibur or II in here… Hmm.. Anyway.
