Does Anyone have a GameRip of the Donkey Kong 1, Jr., & 3 Arcade Games? I thought the Music was they same as the NES Versions, but they weren’t… Just to verify, I’m NOT looking for the NES GameRip. The GameRip I’m looking for is only from the Arcade Version. I would, however, be willing to take the GameRip from the playable Arcade Machines found in the Donkey Kong 64 Game. In fact, I think the same Music Version from the Arcade Games is in Donkey Kong 64, so those versions found in Donkey Kong 64 would be PERFECT! Thanks in Advance!

Check my thread (Thread 194543) for a rip of the DK 1 Arcade soundtrack.

That’s a pretty arduous process because DK and DK Jr. use discrete sound hardware (i.e. no sound chip) which basically means the only way to extract the music is via the sound driver running in MAME. The arcade version of DK3 actually uses the same sound chip as the NES. I haven’t had a chance to compare these two soundtracks, are they really that different? Creating a rip of the NES music would be a lot easier.

I’ve Checked the Donkey Kong Jr. Music & they’re at least a little different. The Music I mainly need is the 2 Bird SFX from the Level 2 BGM, the Level 3 BGM–Even if it’s just made of SFX–and the Level 4 Clear! with the SFX removed. Thanks for pointing out that DK3 uses the same SFX chip. That helps save me some time!
