i just downloaded the "aegis wing" game on xbox live and while its an awesome game (especially since its free) i feel the music is a bit lacking. what i’m asking is for you guys to help me build a playlist for custom tracks in the game.

i wanna go with a old school/new school sidescrolling style music set. so basically anything that goes well with sidescrollers, give some recommendations.

thanks a lot!

You definitely wanna check these out and i’m sure they will fit to the game you’re playing. Try playing around with some tunes on different levels, as some may work better depending on the setting as they have been composed for specific levels.

Thunder Force IV:

"The Sky Line"
"Sand Hell"
"Great Sea Power"
"Sea of Flame"
"Metal Squad"

Salamander II:

This soundtrack is all good, boss themes are excellent, but my faves are:

"Serious, Serious"
"Speed"
"Dear Blue"
"Power of Anger"
"Theme of the Mechanical Boss"

Ikaruga Soundtrack is excellent too:

"Stage 02" "Stage 03" "Boss01"

Check out raiden original soundtrack…. but that one is getting on a bit nowadays and might not sit too well with a modern game. 😀

Hope that helps!

It depending your taste. If it was me, I’ll put the musha/aleste soundtrack, which are very nervous and complexe, and perfect! 😀 (But I’m a nasty fan, so… http://go.to/aleste) Good luck in your searches!
