Anyone playing it? I personally LOVE this game. After playing VF5 it’s hard to play games like DOA and SC. I wish other fighters had Vf’s depth and technical brilliance. So who else is enjoying this wondrous game?

Yes sir. VF is the pinnacle of 3-D fighters. I’m still saving to purchase the console version; I have to get my fix at the arcade now. Glad to see someone who isn’t worshiping buttonmashers like Tekken and DOA.

It’s one of the few things that sometimes makes me wish I had an Xbox 360. Also one of the few cases of Sega not sucking these days.

TK you and me we should run away together to Canada so I can steal your money and leave you in Toronto while I laugh as you are forced to watch the Raptors.

No. But I am looking forward to Street Fighter IV. Probably not online but that’s ok. I like the FPS online.

I Hated VF when I first played it. But now I like it because it takes time to train yourself to get the commands right. If you like gnashing your teeth for combo completion, VF is a God send.

Thanks for the replies people, thought I was alone there for a second, 🙂
To me right now VF is the king of fighting games.

And since when has Street Fighter IV been confirmed?

Well I hope its good. Capcom is seriously flogging a dead horse here. Honestly, I get suspicious when a company "kills" a franchise then brings it back to milk some more. Sorry for getting off topic.

Virtua Fighter 5 is king.

SF4 has been confired for a lot longer than a few days ago. There was a teaser video weeks ago, and even before that they’d officially announced it was in development without actualy showing anything.

The art direction is just godawful in my opinion, especially that horrendous image of Ryu on the EGM cover. I don’t think Capcom ever intentionally killed Street Fighter though, I don’t know what you’re talking about there.

You can say they are beating a dead horse but there’s no reason why the series shouldn’t be able to continue if the gameplay is good. I for one won’t be playing it though since I can’t stand to look at it.

i had VF 5 online and took it back a day later.

the quest mode seriously lacked compared to VF 4: Evo.

the online mode was great for a bit, but due to a glitched 360 I can’t hear anyone unless I friend them first.

and then I wanted to play with my friends and realized: the private party system sucked. Only 2 people can be in a party vs. a lobby of friends (I know this is to keep lag down but still). to join and re join a match you must accept invitation after invitation.

this gets very annoying if you want to change characters/costumes.

I had NO fun with VF 5 online, especially since the PS3 controller is much more suited for this fighting game (there is a difference between how this game plays and how DOA/Soul Calibur play). I had hand cramps with Akira. Seriously. Not so on a PS2/PS3 pad.

And what’s that? You expect me to pay $60 more for a cheap Hori stick so I can actually play the damn thing?? F you AM2!!

I’ll stick to Soul Calibur 4 and eventually get VF 5: Evo for the PS3 (if ever!)
