I was thinking we could use the boss theme compilations (Thread 32576) for the songs. maybe in the future run a seperate rumble without them.

copied from prak’s anime rumble:

A rumble is essentially a popularity contest wherein two contenders at a time are presented and voted upon by the community. The winner of each match proceeds to the next round, which continues until there’s only one left standing.

to get a better idea of what a rumble is I suggest looking at prak’s running anime rumble (Thread 31011).

is anyone interested in running it? it’d require a decent amount of dedication and I’d like it to be run by a regular to the forums, not someone new (ie been here a week and has 10 posts).

If it’s not too late and you don’t think I’d be too inexperienced a poster to do it, I’d be well up for running a music rumble. I was just about to start a new topic actually…….until I found this thread.

I will be on the Shrine daily (mostly in the evening, U.K. time) for the next few months as have relatively little to do. And I think most of the regulars know me fairly well and will know that I am a serious poster.

I propose to use 16 (or possibly 32) songs from the MIDIs found here http://ffmusic.ffshrine.org/

If that’s all OK, I’m happy to start it ASAP.

Sarah was talking about using a lot more music than just the stuff from the Final Fantasy games.

Fine, well the offer is still there to run a rumble specifically on FF Music if anyone is interested in that.

I’d do it, if the offer is open for me. I have been around with a while and usually check the site everyday now I have a more regular internet access.

I wouldn’t mind an FF music rumble but using midis wouldn’t be too terribly fun.

barretboy, that’d be neat ~

not sure how we want to pick the songs to start. we could pick some of the best tracks from like the boss music compilations or something, or have a thread nominating them. up to you !

Thanks for the thumbs up Sarah.
I’ll start a nomination thread probably later today. I guess I should start downloading the boss themes and start listening to the nominations!
