WHAT IS THIS?

While the anime series Yū Yū Hakusho is now well-known, for a long time the mighty Treasure Games’ excellent fighting game made for it – Makyō Tōitsusen – has languished in obscurity. Hardcore Gaming 101 have given the game the editorial treatment it deserves, and now I’m giving the soundtrack the remaster it deserves. If you like any of the other music I’ve remastered, give this a try, it’s one of their better soundtracks and some tracks have some pretty mind-spinning melodies and time signatures.

One of my goals with this endeavor is to present to the community well-mastered Original Sound Version / OST music of the greatest soundtracks video gaming has to offer, with an emphasis on early/mid-90s obscurities and classics. I have added some sympathetic mastering and arranged the tracks in order of "game play" as best I can. Due to the nature of the game, however, worlds are often played in various orders so there’s no set way you’ll hear the music in game. Even so, I hope you enjoy!
