Album released in 1992 in Germany by the Elektra Entertainment label with tracks from the soundtrack of the movie "The Mambo Kings’, Warner Bros., directed by Arne Glincher. You can hear a sample of the great music of the 50’s in USA, when the mambo was the king, with plenty of bands who performed it everywhere from coast to coast, in a nervous post-war America needed of a new music. This soundtrack offers a delicious taste of what both young and mature enjoyed and danced in those days. The songs on the album were recorded by some of the best performers of the genre. Cuban singer and composer Benny Mor�, the great Tito Puente with his band, Celia Cruz -the exalted queen of Latin music-, the lyrical romantic voice of Linda Ronstadt, the Cuban trumpeter and pianist Arturo Sandoval and the extraordinary band ‘Mambo All Star’ composed of up to more than twenty leading experts in Latin music, which dazzle in interpreting issues, one with voice of Antonio Banderas.
