sorry if this is in the wrong section, but i just wanted to make sure noobs were able to see this. alrightm i just started ff12 and i like it so far. anyhow, i noticed how hard it was to get levels and lp.. i really started to get into leveling up and farming early on in the game but you could only go so far..
so the best places early on to level up are:
the Lhusu mines: when you have the guest in your party only use one chracter and noone else. the guest will make sure you dont die since he has an unlimited supply of potions/hi potions and they are quicker to use than cure. by only using one character you are ensuring that he/she gets around +/- (i believe its more) 200 exp per kill on the skeletons and 80-120 on the rest of the monsters. i went from level 10-21 for each character in about 3 hours by doing this. you can also earn massive amounts of gil by mostly selling off those bones the skeletons drop. i earned about 60000 during this period. lp should also shoot through the roof as you do this. once your guest is gone by just having one character on your team, if he is strong enough he will get 480exp per kill on the skeletons which is really useful imo, if not just use 2 characters. i noticed the best weapon to equip them with is the oaken pole. it is quick and really powerful. i was doing about 200+ damage with it.
the leviathan airship: when you free the princess and the alarm is ringing nonstop there is a maze like area with respawning soldiers. i noticed that you could actually leave your controller and set everyones gambits on and the enemies will come to you and will get defeated by your superior team. this is mostly for lp purposes bc the exp they give is crap… well this helped me quite a bit hope it does the same for you.

This sounds pretty reasonable to me. Thanks for sharing!
Here (http://forums.ffshrine.org/showpost.php?p=753139&postcount=4) is a strategy I posted a while ago that requires a little more set-up time in the Estersand before leaving Rabanastre.
