Upcoming Anime Releases

I am dying to see the anime series, Azumanga Diaoh! It is hitting the stores in the US the 27th! I’ve been reading the manga and I absolutely love it.
It’s a great comedy about these group pf school girls attending high school and dealing with everyday life and their insane teachers.
Newtype magazine has a free DVD sampler of the anime and it is exactly like the manga. Oooooh! I’m so excited!

Is anyone else excited about this series? Or a different series or movie?

I’m kind of looking forward to the Monster anime, I guess… I like the manga quite a bit and well… you know… o_o

Is that similiar to Pokemon or Monster Ranch?

I haven’t heard of that title.

I’ve seen most of eps as uncutted fansubs and it is a great anime ^_^ (Osaka is the best!)

I read the link you posted about Monster. I apologize again for my mistake. It looks like it is a pretty strong drama. Are there alot of titles similiar to Monster that deal with realistic stories?

Most titles at the bookstores I go to are Fantasy and Soap Operas. Fantasies are all well and good as are comedies but it’s nice to read manga that deals with real conflicts that people have to face.I’m going to have to keep an eye out for Monster now too.

Hmm and realistic stories.. I’ve seen lots of animes actually and I haven’t came up with any (Like based on real life.. not fantasy etc)

There’s no need to apologize, Rinoa_Yuna… Monster is still pretty unknown, and hasn’t been released in America yet as far as I know, so it’s no surprise that the words "monster" and "anime" trigger certain associations. xD

I suppose the Monster anime will become popular, though, and as a result they’ll license the manga in the USA and within one or two years everyone will know the story. 😉

As for other relaistic anime, I must admit I don’t know one. Except for love stories… or short stories… those by Fuyumi Soryo, I’ve read a bit od those and it didn’t seem bad…
There’s a manga, Eagle by Kaiji Kawaguchi, which is about the Presidential elections in the USA. 😀
