Uncharted 2: Game of the Year edition swings into action October 12 | Joystiq (http://www.joystiq.com/2010/09/28/uncharted-2-game-of-the-year-edition-swings-into-action-october/)

Kind of disappointed I only found out about this now. Had I known they were releasing this version, I would have waited instead of buying it a month ago…

Oh well.

Nobody knew. They just announced it today. Although it should have been pretty obvious THE game of the year of 2009 would get an edition like this.

What’s new about it? (I doubt severely I’ll be buying it)

Basically, they’ll include vouchers to download the DLC for the price of the first released version of the game w/o the dlc. So, basically you’re getting all the extras for free… plus the cover case of the game looks way better than the original…

Just read the list myself. Ehhhhhh, the cover isn’t horribly different. I already paid $0.49 for the Sully av, don’t need any others than that.

Uncharted 2 is no RE5 :p

I like the cover for it, it’s better than having Drake practically hanging for his life. The DLC stuff, fantastic. Though It’s a bit annoying that they are voucher’s. Because you know, you buy this, and try to type in the code and the code ends up being wrong. Then the whole purchase just ends up being the game only.

U2 is so better than RE5, which btw I do have now… Gold Edition… :p

also, I like the old U2 and RE5 covers. I like looking at Sheva.

I prefer looking at Jill.

Guess I should start farming some ammo soon.

Looks like my decision not to play this yet has paid off! (I always like to keep at least 1 big title waiting in the wings, in case the christmas line-up for the year isn’t anything special).

And given that I’m not interested in anything else slated for release this year, this could be Uncharted 2’s moment!

I agree with Neg though – RE5 is criminally underrated, and will be a tough act to follow.

if only you guys had 360’s.. i think playing re5 together would be a blast.

I just meant in terms of me being willing to buy it again, mostly. People’s opinions on RE5 vary widely, and that’s just fine.

I have no problem with sound criticism, but there was an awful lot of bandwagon hopping when it came out, saying it was irredeemably awful etc. I still prefer the classic RE games (1,2, Code V), but I enjoyed RE5 just fine.

My stance on its quality in relation to RE4 is that 4 is probably the better experience (if you exclude the co-op factor of RE5, anyway). But I didn’t like 4’s utterly inconsequential story, that had nothing to do with RE’s core story. RE5 finally ties up the loose ends and just feels more like a proper RE game.
