Good evening,

Does anyone here know when I import a cue file (that is placed in a folder along with a single flac file) why I am unable to play cue files in Foobar2000?
I always split the cue file into mutiple tracks since I have always prefered that, but recently I keep getting more of these index?? errors.

Right now I’m trying to open the cue file for The Master’s 😉 ‘The Shadow’, but I keep getting this window in Foobar which says ‘playback error’:

Unable to open item for playback (Object not found):
"D:\Music\Music Backup\Jerry Goldsmith\The Shadow\The Shadow\Disc 1\Jerry Goldsmith – The Shadow (Disc 1).cue" / index: 1

Unable to open item for playback (Object not found):
"D:\Music\Music Backup\Jerry Goldsmith\The Shadow\The Shadow\Disc 1\Jerry Goldsmith – The Shadow (Disc 1).cue" / index: 2

Unable to open item for playback (Object not found):
"D:\Music\Music Backup\Jerry Goldsmith\The Shadow\The Shadow\Disc 1\Jerry Goldsmith – The Shadow (Disc 1).cue" / index: 3

Unable to open item for playback (Object not found):
"D:\Music\Music Backup\Jerry Goldsmith\The Shadow\The Shadow\Disc 1\Jerry Goldsmith – The Shadow (Disc 1).cue" / index: 4

I already looked for this problem on the web, but can’t seem to find a single solution that might help.
If anyone could help, it would be greatly appriciated! 🙂

Open the cue file with a text editor. If the FILE line looks similar to FILE "The Shadow.wav" WAVE then change that to FILE "The Shadow.flac" WAVE and save it.

Bad pregap info (INDEX 00) and mis-ordered lines commonly need fixing as well.
