I am a major fan of Twister, as well as the music composed for it. I have a CD of the original soundtrack released for Twister, and as soon as I heard there would be an expanded archival collection (with new tracks) I bought that up immediately. Unfortunately, while the mix for the original soundtrack released in 1996 had perfect quality, the more recent expanded archival collection was less than perfect. Since a lot of the tracks on the expanded edition were repeats of what was already officially released, I could immediately cross-reference the quality of the tracks on the new release to those of the old release. Long story short, the new edition was mixed with way too much bass. It’s not as bad as the Star Wars OT special edition "remasters", but it was very noticeable for someone who owns the original soundtrack release. But we’ve been waiting for unreleased Twister music for a while, and this is certainly better than SFX edited versions on YouTube. I have taken the liberty of editing these tracks in Audacity to remove the heavy emphasis on bass and restore some amount of clarity to these unreleased tracks that sounds more in line with the original release we got more than 20 years ago. So I give you my CD rip of the original 1996 soundtrack release, as well as my edits of the unreleased tracks in the expanded archival collection. Due to the way I filed these in my computer, you’ll have three separate download links. One is the 1996 release in its entirety, no edits required. A second is the tracks from the expanded archival collection, which I have edited to be less bass-heavy and have more clarity. I have also added certain songs from the "music from the motion picture" soundtrack release (music that was licensed for the movie) that have been edited to match their duration within the film. And a separate file from the expanded collection that I felt wouldn’t benefit from editing. Please enjoy and PM me if links are down.

Thank you very much! I always thought Mr. Mancina did a great job with the score and your mixing seems very solid to me.
