I wanted to collect stuff that sound "weird" in a melodious way . Imagine music made with broken guitars, coil springs , elephants … Maybe "distorted" sounds. And percussions , just like a broken machine (especially polynasia track). In fact this compilation is quite hard to describe, and tracks might not sound "weird" at all. For instance, could you call jazz , "weird" , because it’s different from what you regularly listen ? Anyways, I made a lot of searches while doing this compilation, and hope you’ll find the overall result pleasant.

In some tracks I only kept a part to better fit the overall compilation, or so that it’s not boring. When the track is severely reduced to a small portion, I’ve put the mention "excerpt". I’ve also slightly adjusted the pitch of few tracks (values indicated in semitones). Please listen in order the tracks, at least the first time.

Here’s now the cover:

Then the playlist :

Size of the file : 132 MB

Remark : all tracks encoded with lame 3.97 vbr 0; it’s because I worked with lossless files to begin.

Thanks so much sir!
It’s really interesting what you did here, of course I’d have gone a step further since I so much love distortion in sound (edit: hell, it’s even under my nick :P). But your comp’s concept is quite unique 😉

Thanks for the proper tagging.
Oh, and I believe no.13 is actually:

13. Martin Iveson – Monastery Interior [Ninja: Shadow of Darkness]

Cheers
