I’m using the USF rip of this game, and I’m trying to make a lossless soundtrack with them, however, there are a couple of tracks that puzzle me. One of them is #13 in the USF (Intro to the Hive), and the other is #19 (Oblivion). The basic thing is the length.

Generally, whenever I do any soundtracks I always have them loop twice, with some fadeout. However, because Oblivion seems to have multiple loop points that don’t match up, i.e. one channel may have a completely different loop point to another channel (this is also the same with the Super Smash Bros Menu, for example), it’s hard to actually find an actual loop point. I can assure you that I’ve gone as far as 5 hours into the song, and I still couldn’t find a loop, let alone 2. Same with intro to the hive.

So far, the lengths I have for this are (after 2 loops and some fade out):

Intro (0:32)
Title (1:46)
Port of Adia (10:16)
Totem 1 (5:20)
River of Souls (9:37)
Totem 2 (2:47)
Adon Hub (2:05)
Save Game (1:14)
Death Marshes (19:00)
Sacred Feather (0:57)
Lair of the Blind Ones (19:10)
Blind One Boss (4:03)
Intro to the Hive (2:10?)
Hive of the Mantids (17:30)
Mantid/Primagen Boss (3:12)
Oblivion Lair (1:06)
Primagen’s Lightship (10:49)
Mother Boss (2:24)
Oblivion (19:29?)

Note the times in red… I’m sure Intro to the Hive is a little longer than a minute roughly, and I don’t think I have enough space for a 50 hour FLAC or Oblivion.
Does anyone have any idea what times I should set Oblivion so that it’s roughly 2 loops?

Turok 2 has been remastered: MJCA-00063 | Violence Killer Original Soundtrack – VGMdb (http://vgmdb.net/album/1827)

That soundtrack is not complete (and not the actual N64 music), so your project is probably worth the time and effort. I am intrigued by anything Turok 2, so I had to chime in. Unfortunately, I can’t help with the looping problem. The last time I played the game was over a decade ago.

What USF rip are you using? All the ones I’ve found always crashed Winamp after 4 or 5 minutes during certain tracks, namely River of Souls, Death Marshes, Hive of the Mantids, and the Primagen’s Light Ship.

Any way, though I may not be able to tell you correct length with two loops, I do however know how long the songs’ actual midis are thanks to SubDrag’s N64midi tool. Goldeneye Vault – File Information (http://www.goldeneyevault.com/viewfile.php?id=211)

Hive Intro: 0:42.20

Oblivion: 8:27.16

I hope that helps in some way.
